I have a 99 cb250 and it's absolutely amazing!! Love every second on it!! Paid $1100 with rego, new tyres, new clutch, fresh service, new fork seals, new chain, oxford grip warmers, debaffled exhaust. It's my first bike and again I couldn't recommend enough to new riders or anyone thinking about getting a cheap bike to look for something like the cb250. Insurance is only $43 a month for full comp thru NRMA here in Australia, full tank of 95 is $14/18!!! Honestly couldn't be happier with my choice!!

Don't forget to take into consideration that longer rear shocks will change the steering geometry, if you raise the rear you have to raise the front or the bike will steer like a shopping trolley especially off road. Bike starting to come along well.

It makes me wonder why Honda don't have something similar in their range. It looks sweet stripped down like that, with knobblies, and it sounds raw too, just as you'd expect it to. For me it should be kept simple now with as few farkles as possible. Then ride it! Good work, guys! KOR 👍

The CB250 is looking really good and I like that tear drop shape tank and duel gauges. Should look great with the seat fitted. But wow … it sounds fantastic. I think this bike is going to raise the bar on the Little Lucifer project and I was impressed with how it turned out. You have got me wondering if the CB250 could be modified as an adventure bike for myself as a lower sitting dirt bike for my short arse. Hmmm

The 210mm seat loop you guys bought won't fit flush on the frame, I know because I bought the same one haha. Might need to bend it a bit to get it to fit , however this might give you guys some issues with getting the seat to perfectly fit. Keep up the good work!

Exhaust changes usually require some carb adjustment. Check your plug colours to check it's not running too lean. Be interesting to see if there is a power difference. I must be the last person on earth to still use the centrestand. A CB250 that sounds good, wow, I might just duck out and find myself a unicorn. Enjoying the process guys.

Looking good when you weld that hoop on maybe think about welding a sleeve over the hoop and original frame to strengthen the join. you could enter it in the scrapheap adventure ride next year.

After a quick look the other day we think the hoop should just slip inside the frame tubes. So that will add plenty of strength to it. If not then your suggestion will be likely.

You dont have to weld the mufflers. You can do what Blue Collar Bobbers does and use heat silicone gasket maker. Works good on exhaust!

Sounds like a Ducati and you can use the stock bars just flip them upside down and around then they will be really good looking drop bars thanks for the video

Thanks Matt. Great job on the exhaust. Did you consider slotting the silencer and getting some exhaust paste and then using a a clamp to put the silencers on so they could be removed or adjusted [Slip on type]? As for gaiters maybe the neoprene style?

After putting on the slip-ons, are you going to re-jet the carburettors? As far as I understand it, it doesn't particularly matter. All I know is that when you change the exhaust from stock, the next step is to re-jet the carbies (to a smaller jet I think?), relatively simple task if you know your way around a carbie. Just a thought.

Larger main jet when you open up the pipes and airbox, and re-adjust mixture screw a bit richer. But no need to change jetting if he leaves the airbox stock.

The old shocks are progressive and the chrome ones from the Virago aren’t.

Also what did you push to hold choke up??? My choke does same thing rattles its self down 😅
