They arent being persecuted for being Christians. They are being persecuted for trying to convert others. India is a Hindu country and that should be respected, but Christians cannot respect other religious paths. This has always been the problem. Practice whatever faith resonates with you and leave others alone. Simple.

India wasn't that poor before Christians came to India...they destroyed our local industries particularly which were owned by local tribes like leather (by chamars), carpentry (by sutradhars) etc ...and many more. They influenced our history books due to which we never got to know about this.
