Some nations were able to maintain their political party victory despite the difficulty from 2020-2024 Pandemic/Wars in 2024's election such as Taiwan/India whereas Putin/Israel's current leadership will probably fall or go into retirement once the war end. It is an opportunity which many would try their best when given the opportunity... but to correct what you say. He probably could have done better even after taking the seat after the pandemic HAD Putin didn't invade Ukraine and the sanction cause an energy hike (by over 5 times the bill). It's usually things that affect the consumer that triggers them to vote unless the candidate him/herself is exceptionality. e.g Meloni had been very successful in recent years... there were many leadership who was insprirational but ironically more in the past than present.
