Brandie and Dustin married at a young age and never really developed a strong foundation for their marriage. As they each put more emphasis on career above one another, Brandie entered into an affair with a coworker.

Good thing her marriage didn't blow up. She would have simply said " I cheated because he was abusive and didn't meet my emotional needs. And he was starting to abuse the kids. ". The church would have rallyed around her and got her free legal help. He would have been served a restraining order and had no legal right to his kids until the state ironed it out . He would have cashed in his 401k to fight for his children, but after 18 months and 50k in legal fees he would have ran out of money and tapped out. We all would be saying" another deadbeat dad. " Think this sounds like a fairy tale? It's happening all around you right now. 11 billion dollar industry. 11 billion I said. . I am not her judge , but when she says " I didn't have a good marriage modeled to me " and " God you have to stop me from my intimacy with this guy because I can't " these are red flags of a narcissist. People who are sorry usually don't sneak around for a year lying and cheating because their conscious doesn't let them . They care about their spouse . Narcissists don't care. Most abusers are hiding in the church , of course , with stellar public images. Of course, they can do the most damage to christians there and families. Poor guy has a kid now. Cash and prizes soon for her. And maybe the aforementioned abuse stories. She may be feeling very powerful that she was able to cheat , and he stayed. And she even got to play the victim subtlety in this video with those two comments. Google " duping delight" to know what she would get from this . Read " healing from hidden abuse" to learn all about this growing problem that is unknown to most of us. And you will know the playbook ( projection , reverse projection , baiting and bashing , trauma bonding , mirroring, etc. )

If u can't forgive others, God will not forgive u either... A true Christian should be happy when someone has forgiven the other and not telling someone not to forgive.. Unforgiveness is of the devil.. 1 John 1:8.. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.. 9.. If we confess our sins He is faithful and just and He will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness... 10.. If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His Word is not in us..

A great testimony (despite the many nasty critical comments below). Seemed like she was perhaps too young and had pretty low self esteem at the start of marriage. She made some truly dumb decisions to get into a 1 yr affair AT CHURCH!. However, too many marriages run into similar trouble (after the honeymoon) due to unrealistic expectations and the lack of adequate communication / relationship skills. Sadly, people need to acquire these skills before marriage, not after the divorce. The husband seemed to be a true, forgiving christian man, which was likely crucial in saving the marriage. Am also glad that the wife was able to acknowledge her bad behavior and restore her family relationship. I assume they successfully worked things out??. Too bad we never get to hear if these relationships do persist. Are they still together???
