The OFFICAL IRA has since admitted that THEY in fact fired first, even though they had promised not to have any armed folks there, so I think that clears up as to who began this tragedy.

I do believe that the BBC and some other TV stations there that day were able to prove within days it was the British troops who fired first.

The British however, are yet to concede that they intended to teach the people of Derry a lesson. No frayed nerves, no oversight ,no communications issues to show us who's boss plain and simple.
