@Strode784 жыл бұрын
No, Robert Reed had an issue with the very last episode about Greg's hair turning orange. He was fired from a show that was cancelled anyway due to lack of viewers at the time so even if he wasn't fired the show would've ended.
@istateyourname47104 жыл бұрын
@@Strode78 Bringing in Cousin Oliver wasn't going to save the show from it's natural demise. I read that Robert Reed thought using the antiquated term, "hair tonic," in addition to it being a really dumb episode, made him unwilling to participate. Good on him.

How do you all know this stuff about what Robert Reed wanted? I take it Robert Reed wasn't easy to work with?
@crpsaiyan3 жыл бұрын
@@richardmyers1506 He wasn't. In fact, do you remember the episode, "Jan, The Only Child"? In that episode, there was a line that Robert Reed was supposed to read while both Carol and Alice were making strawberry preserves. The line was, "This smells like strawberry heaven". Robert Reed refused to say that line because he said that strawberries have no odor while they are cooking, and even went as far as bringing back a page from an encyclopedia backing up his comment. At one point, Ann B. Davis said, "will you just do the scene!?" Robert Reed refused to do the scene until the line was changed. Sherwood Schwartz begrudgingly changed the line to, "Hey, I do believe I died and gone to strawberry heaven."

You have a "very good eye". In the episode "A Piece of the Action", (at about the two minute mark) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ebahZqurnNGloXk.html watch Kirk and Spock pull away in the car. Look at the buildings --- their facade, the shape of the windows, the color of the buildings, the staircase, etc. Holy Crap!!! It "IS" the same backlot set. How did you notice this?????
@bellesogne3 жыл бұрын
It's the Paramount back lot. The Brady Bunch shot on sound stage 5, just up the street from the Bronson Gate (the gate in the opening shot). That street appeared in a lot of exterior shots for various Paramount productions, Star Trek TOS included. The street is named Leonard Nimoy Way. Take a look at it on Google Maps.
@ComixAndCartoonPro5 жыл бұрын
Since Robert Reed hated this scene so much, it would have been funny if they actually had Mr. Brady in this scene and had him say, "Seriously?! Hell no! I'm not doing it! I'm getting the hell outta here!" when he heard they won, and then had him walk out of the place to leave his family alone to be in that pie fight. That would have been another good way for Sherwood to write him out. Lol

2:01 There should have been actual conversation before the pie fight. The girls should've bragged about how nice they looked while Bobby should've arrogantly said that he should be the star while Greg and Peter rolled their eyes and Carol telling him not to get too big headed.
