I just finished the latest book and honestly one of my favorites so far! I grew up with the series and still love to catch up on the latest issue of the book. Their books have been a big inspiration and so relatable for anybody. I loved watching this interview with this amazing duo!

My 9 y/o ran through book one and two within a week! That's saying a lot because these are pretty lengthy chapter books. Now. I'm shopping for all of them. Thanks for keeping her interested in reading.

I have just now heard of the Dork Diaries book series a month ago, and I became an instant fan of the series ever since I read Book 8 (my favorite volume of the series). And as someone who is also a tall Black woman raised by a single mother who wants to write her own original stories, this book series and mother-daughter duo who created it truly are inspiration.

What a great dynamic between a mother and daughter. It was also refreshing to see an interview with successful black women without race being interjected into the questions. Keep THAT up CBS as well as more great guests.

@@sweetestea Why was my comment erased? Eye See Me is a bookstore (and online) centering Black children. I hope this isn't erased.

@@CuriousBean Literally!! Such a sell out. I wished I had cute teen books like this with a Black main character while growing up in the 2010s. Finding out the author was Black for this series made me highly upset bc I did read some of the books when I was young. Growing up in a majority yt suburb and also having little representation of Black female figures did make me feel super insecure of my blackness during my early adolescent years (though now that had changed!) I’m just glad that today in the 2020s and on we have better representation of Black young characters in books, tv, movies, etc-when I in the future have a daughter, I want to make sure she sees herself represented in ALL types of media
