This was my 95 year old father's favorite show. I was his caregiver in his final years and we'd watch Big Bang Theory together. Last fall when I told him the show was going to end we were both sad. We speculated on how they would end it. Unfortunately, my father passed away in January so when I watched the final episode tonight my Dad's recliner chair was empty. It was a sad night for me on many levels.

I was 50 when my wife came to me and told about this new show and how I needed to watch it. Over the past 12 years it has brought us closer together. When we watch, we recite the lines with the TV. I have a copy of every single show on a hard drive, backed up on another drive. I have three tee shirts, The Friendship Algorithm, Bazinga, and Knock, Knock, Knock Penny. We even counted the number of lovers each of guys have had. Its a great illness to have.

Well, I just can't believe the show is ending. I have been very fortunate in that I know someone who works on the stage of this show and I have been able to see the show being taped AND visit with the staff, cast, and crew afterwards on many occasions. All of the actors are super nice and very, very humble. When I would thank people for their continued work they would always say, "On no, we should thank you." I mean, can you imagine? Of course all the actors loved the show, but it particularly shone thru with Johnny and Melissa Rauch. Those two would stay around for a hour or so after the taping to talk with visitors, crew, etc. And remember, that Tuesday night taping was the end of their very long work week. Melissa became my favorite actor over the years specifically because of this. I will so miss this show. Truly a comedic highlight to me and so many fans. Everybody involved should be super proud.

Show is ending because Jim wanted to move on. A spin-off possibly in the works with raj and Howard. Chick Lorre wanted two more years but Jim turned it down. To bad they could not compromise or at least one more year and % of royalty’s. Either way the fans still get young Sheldon.

Johnny is so strikingly different from his character. I mean, of course they are all actors and not the same as their roles, but Johnny is more like the opposite in real life. As Leonard he is so nerdy and anxious and in real life he is so vibrant, beaming with energy, eyeing people like a tiger, although not in an aggressive way, and also a little eccentric in how he dresses.

But, I have to point out, like I've been doing for years now... NO, they don't use a "laugh track" or "canned laughter"... It's filmed in front of a live audience. Like when Penny has the baby or Raj gets married and maybe turns out he was really gay the whole time! 😲 Possibly Amy & Sheldon get divorced or has children. There’s so many story lines that could come from the ending. I think it was perfect. And if they never make a special or do a sequel... we can make up our own story lines! 🤔

I'm glad that they decided to end the show and not keep it going without Jim Parsons. As we've seen before with shows like ''That 70's Show'' and ''Two And A Half Men'', continuing a show without the main character doesn't fair well at all and ends up damaging the shows legacy. The Big Bang Theory wouldn't have been the same without Jim Parsons in it and would have done the show more harm if they continued the show without him, especially if they tried to replace Jim Parsons with someone else. So it was a good decision that they ended the series with all the original cast members still in it.

I just wish somehow that Jim Parsons would stayed on for at least a couple more seasons, then they could have wrapped everything into a neatly bow within the two extra seasons. Even though I had a conversation with my girlfriend around season 10 telling her how Sheldon is not like a robot anymore and a lot of the barriers they had to overcome they already did, it's no longer about a show of 4 smart misunderstood older children hanging out together some of them had kids wives stuff like that at this point, so I thought the show was ready to end back in season 10 because it was no longer the show we started watching. But I'm pretty sure if they did a couple more seasons it would still be just as loved

I was 5 years old when this came out, and I don’t remember a time before I watched this show. My mom put it on when she was cooking dinner, which quickly turned into us watching it during dinner-whether it was a new episode or a rerun. This show was a constant through so many events in my life and I still love it just as much as the first time I watched it. As long as they play reruns, I’ll be there at 7pm each night to watch this show. ❤️

I haven't been that emotional in a very, very long time. May seem like a silly thing but it's truly how I'm feeling. Tnx so much everyone who made this show. Especially because I share much of a character with Sheldon and love trains very much lol

Thanks for knowing how to make a great series finale show and a having great run. And thank you for knowing how to go out on top rather than drag it out till you have to go out because of ratings. Kudos to everyone involved and way to go out with a BANG and not a whimper.

I like this show particularly because it’s the most integrative show until now and the first one that talk about science, nerds and integrate them into the society allowing everyone to understand them and respect them

Final episodes were all lacking a little; needed a final 5 minute scene in the far future ,where they are all remembered for their accomplishments, with sheldon aiding the creation of "warp" like travel and genetic enhancement so people live as long as they want without disease of malformations. Still kinda sad to see the show go. Oh well

Loved the show, but it was time to end. The humor derived from these nerds who were emotionally children in adult bodies, and the humor that resulted. But,the last three seasons, they've grown up. It was amusing to watch the growing up, but now, they're adults, the comedy would be hard to find now, ( save Sheldon's continued weirdness), and that would get old. Despite what other cast members/show producers think/feel, creatively, the show is done. Well done, take a bow.

The comment about how the show was like going through kindergarten to 12th grade really hit me hard. I never thought about it, but that is crazy. When you think back at how long it seemed to go all the way through school and graduate.
