Correspondent Jim Axelrod talks with Cooper about her rise to fame, and what the future may hold for her, now that her object of mockery is leaving the stage.

I don't know what your secret is Sarah...but I wish you would share it. Hearing you are 43 blew me away. All this time I had thought you were about 28-30. You also got us through this dark, horrible period by making us laugh in a way we ALL needed. I think your humor is brilliant!!!! Get this gal her own sitcom!

She will. She's a 43 year old woman (who could almost pass for 23) who has had a career and life before all of this. She knows who she is and what she's about. Everybody should wait until their 40s to get famous. It would solve so many problems. LOL

Her perseverance for 20 years is inspiring. At my 22 years of age, I sometimes feel that my goals are stupid and I'm just working into the void. But you just have to find something you love.

She's smart, she seems to have enough inner (not only outer) beauty to make her radiate all over the place .. and... I owe to her some of the best laughs of the last 4 years -- which actually were pretty horrible. I really hope very much she will find a way to leave Trump behind and present herself without him. She has more talent than needed for that.

Some of US wanted to cry, some did & some still are but you were able to make US laugh & we shared you & that made someone else laugh until you did become a overnight sensation just like the interviewer said. I'll admit I'm late to the comedy club party - I was not aware of her work until this segment. That said I am now a full-blown fan!!! Not only is Sarah Cooper hilarious she also has integrity, is wise, socio-politically astute, and is all-around amazing! We are lucky to have her in any and all comedic forms she comes at us with!
