The Soviet Union Team Roster didn't even have Core Players like Boris Mikhailov, Vladimir Petrov, Valery Kharlamov, and Others in this Tournament yet Team Canada Roster still stunk in this Tournament. Liut was garbage in goal.

Last international tournament for Mikhailov and Petrov was Lake Placid 1980. Kharlamov died in August 1981.

Worst Team Canada Roster ever assembled in any Canada Cup Tournament 1976 to 1991. Liut for Team Canada was about as bad as the Team NHL goaltenders Dryden and Cheevers picked for the 1979 Challenge Cup Series.

What an utter horrifying display of hockey by team Canada. Worst team ever assembled. Danny Gare? Lafleur was washed up by this time, Perreault not much further behind. Engblom and Beck on D? Wow. Poor choices.

hey guy and gil played great were picked for the all star team of the canada cup. We played well but were trounced by the Soviets in the final it happens,,,,,,,yeah Luit picked a bd time to suck.
