Courage and strength are traits often exhibited by those who have no other option. What an inspiring story Brady. You will face many more challenges, including the temptation of addiction again, but with hard work and a supportive family/community network, you can do this. You are worth it and so loved by many.

Hey Brady, this truly hit home with me. I never was close to being a professional athlete, but I was a product of a broken home(a lot of people have the same) I was between being out on the streets at 15, then was taken to go live with my father, but never wanted to be there. I came back to my hometown, was plunging golf balls when I got that same little angel on my shoulder, it led me to my wife and beautiful family. Just know this brady, you deserve everything u have and more.

Keep doing what you’re doing. I’ve been through this. I had a great psychiatrist in Dauphin Manitoba who gave me some profound wisdom. He told me that I’d only be able to do three things in my life. Think, feel and act. Think rationally and honestly. Act upon the thoughts with all of your will and resolve. Feel the positive emotions that result

Love knowing you're ok and doing better Bradley. I never was good enough to play in the NHL but I'm saddened by what players have and still are going through being a player in the NHL. The dark side of a dream for many. To all players reach out for help you're so worth knowing, following, and caring about. .

Kinda strange/concerning that therapy is not more of a central theme in this video. All respect to Leavold, the person, not necessarily the hockey player, but the message seems a little off in this video. For instance, Boogard absolutely lost his life becasue of fighting in the NHL. Brain trauma and then addiction to pain pills was ABSOLUTELY a direct result to fighting in the NHL.

Doesn’t seem like he’s in that mindset in the present. He was sharing the mindset of someone who is dealing with addiction. Fighting those thoughts is a lifelong battle. You clearly don’t know anyone who has truly been through that, so good for you, keep you opinion to yourself
