@@GrimmNastyy Who tf cares about beard and hairstyles? What about the dumbed down action clickspamfest combat, the completely missed tone, lack of grim dark brutality/blood and gore, lacking implementation of a proper RPG system and dumbed down dialogue options. Have you seen the netflix show? It encapsulates perfectly who the new core audience is. Let me tell you the hardcore RPG fans abandoned this game right when Inquisition dropped.

The persistent drumbeat of articles is good for marketing, even if they are smaller than the initial 12-pager. So, I'm glad to see it. It's particularly nice when they sneak in a few new details. :-)

If general backstory is tied to faction, I hope there is some degree of flexibility. Like if I want to be an elf and a part of the Veil Jumpers, I hope you're not just defaulted to Dalish; there's any number of reasons why a City Elf might end up with them.

Things can always change, but i rolled an elven veil jumper and it didnt force me to have vallaslin. So i think you dont have to be dalish?

That was something I was wondering myself, cuz I love playing as a dalish elf but also interested in the other factions that aren’t the veil jumpers

I remember reading an article that said something like some details of you background can be changed based on early-game dialogues. I wonder what kind of depth will that involve. Like, in Inquisition, as a Qunari you can speak to Josephine in Haven and she'll ask about your thoughts on the Qun, or how life was for you within the Dalish clans as an elf, and so on and so forth. I'm hoping it'll be a bit more detailed than that in Veilguard.

I watched your video yesterday and took a nap after and had a dream I was in veilguard interacting with one of the characters safe to say the hype has firmly grasped my brain I promised I wouldn't get hype over a game again since cyberpunk but dA is one my favorite series I'm glad we finally get a bunch of news like this and I'm glad I have something to actually place in my brain cuz it's just been vaguely just "dreadwolf" for all this time

I'll approach the gameplay of DAV the same way as I did Final Fantasy XVI: love the franchise, and even if the combat is not my favorite of said franchise, as long as the story is fun I'll have a damn good time

I cannot fathom for the life of me just HOW they justyfied that to themselves! That sounds so WRONG and - for me - immediatelly disqualifies the game entirely to be a RPG. Period! Since I really love BioWare and DA, I will still buy the the damn thing. But how will that work out in combat? I highly doubt we will get skills for out of combat! So what is this game?

I just want some in depth combat, abilities and tactics. Something about 3 slots just doesn't sit right with me at all sadly, customizable or not. I know you said don't freak out but I can't help it xD I had so much fun playing 2 because the tactics and combat were amazing, same with Origins but to a lesser extent. I don't know how to feel

I hope with Solas and Rooks relationship u can understand Solas and his goals but not support him and show him a better way finding common ground with each other than being in complete support or opposition to solas’s ideals

That sounds like V's relationship with Johnny in Cyberpunk 2077, but with even less effect on the game's end state. I think you might be hoping too much from Bioware's current roster.

@@greenfrogbadI have high hopes for this game and it’s story and the previous games haven’t disappointed me yet but I understand that BioWare hasn’t been to great as of late but what gives me hope is that Katie(Ghil Dirthalen) has been working with BioWare to a very limited degree but they seem to value her feedback and she knows about story beats that haven’t been discussed yet so that gives me some comfort.

I've been binge watching your lore videos due to veilguard hype and had a thought, could the old gods have been slivers of the elven gods? 9 elven gods minus the solas and flemith (mythal) come to 7 gods left, 7 old gods, 5 of which took the form of dragons, which flemeth can do, could solas have become a dragon had he not slept for 1000 years and lost his strength? Also, dont we have a connection between elven gods and the blight itself? If a shard of mythal is passed to flemath after the goddess' death, could the other gods leave shards of their power/will to roam freely and develop cults and religions? It would kind of fit the roumor of the 8th old god if mythal was in that number, the dread wolf always being the bad guy might get him left off the list as i out of sight out of mind, mindset. I keep editing this damn comment when i think of something new

The way specializations are described has me worried that they'll be tied to specific weapon types. Like, the 'Reaper' one mentions two-handed warriors specifically. What if you can only play it with a two-handed warrior?

First walkthrough, I'm going to make a red haired Male Elf Warrior, making him similar to Denji from Chainsaw Man. I'll name him Denarus. Or I'll make an albino Male Elf Warrior that looks a lot like Alphen from Tales of Arise and name him Alphen. Second walkthrough, I'm going to make a blonde Female Dwarf Rogue, making her a bit similar to Sophitia from Soul Calibur. I'll name her Sophia. Or I'm going make a Female Dwarf Warrior with short brown hair and make her very similar to Shizuka from Zom 100, naming her Shirley. Third Walkthrough, I'm going to make a dark haired Female Human Mage, making her very similar to Touka from Tokyo Ghoul. I'll name her Tina. Or I'm going to make a brown haired Female Human Mage who looks a lot like Dorothea from Fire Emblem Three Houses, with the same name as well. Fourth Walkthrough, I'm going to make an albino Male Qunari Warrior, making him somewhat similar to that of Goliath from Gargoyles. I'll name him Golinok. Or I'm going to make a Male Qunari Warrior with a Mohawk and make him look a lot like Kongol from Legend of Dragoon, maybe naming him Kondar.

Well the warden may be dead, Hawke isn't in the game so how does he keep that promise? Not saying he won't be be in because we are dealing with the crows and part of the game is in that area
