The Maker's message to Andraste kinda sounds like something that the Old Gods were doing with the magisters, we know that things that people belive and dream off manifest themselves in the Fade, so in theory if you want to change the Fade in a substantial way, it would make sense to create a holy order that would implant a certain idea into the hearts and minds of all people across Thedas, he does say that when the Chant of Light is sung from all across the world, the world and the spirit realm will be reunited or something? Perhaps a foreshadowing?

I get the feeling Dragon Age, yet again, just follows trends instead of doing its thing and setting new ones. They added the difficulty options, which doesn't seem that important to me, just because BG3 gave us some custom options.

I love the noodle-ity options. But i hope i can turn it off for when my offspring are around.

God mode is very kind for people who can't use the controller well, for example arthritis or other disability. Hack and slash games dont generally bother, but bioware are about stories more than pew pew. So let everyone play.

Around 8 years ago, I discovered both Mass Effect and Dragon Age (I know I was late to the party, but I've never been much of a gamer) and it was love at first sight. While I played ME from start to finish, I didn't succeed in doing the same with Dragon Age (not even finished the 1st game) because life got in the way. And it always bugged me, because I could sense its greatness. Eventually, the mighty algorithm sensed my desire and started showing me videos of DA, to the point where I chose to dive again in this beautiful world and I'm very happy about it ^^. The game and the world are even better than I remembered and I'm so eager to know more about this franchise, that during my research on the Fad...the Web I discovered your channel, which is truly a library of knowledge. So much to watch and so few hours to do it ^^". A library which, for someone like me who's also a GM planning to run a campaign in Thedas (not with the official rpg, but using Savage Worlds), as well as a (rookie) gamer, is even more valuable. As I’ve gotten older I’ve watched my skill at games drastically decrease. Part of that is not having as much mental time or energy to dedicate to playing games as I used to even 5 years ago. Part of that is no longer wanting to spend hours trying to master a specific skill that will be useless as soon as I stop playing the specific game. Finally part of it is early arthritis, I just don’t want to injure myself for the sake of beating a game. While I’m only 34 I can look ahead another 10-20 years and know that if I’m around then I’ll probably still enjoy the story of games, still want to revisit some of my favourites, but my skills would likely have decreased further still by then. I know I’ll never reach a point of wanting to play with god mode, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other people who maybe started playing games on lower difficulties who will also experience diminishing skills over the years. You also have to account for the gap between games. It’s been almost 10 years since DAI in that time there are going to be multiple people who love the series who may have experienced various accidents or illnesses that have caused their skill level to have an even more drastic drop than just general aging, having a no death option allows them to continue playing a game series they may love is just a general kindness, it doesn’t affect anything about how they design the game overall. Anyone unwilling to accept the realities of life that other people have to go through, have never experienced any kind of hardship themselves, are still essentially kids, or are just self important assholes. All of whom should take a good look in the mirror and try to understand more walks of life than just their own. A difficulty option designed for other people does not impact your own personal enjoyment of a game, and even if it did so what? You get a brief moment of experiencing what it feels to not be the target audience. Get over yourself.

Re: San Diego Comic Con amd the Random Thursday Comic Con runs from Thursday to Sunday of whatever week in July it is taking place on. There used to be "theme days" (as in Thursday is comics, where all the big comic news happens. Friday is movies, Saturday is Family, etc etc) and certain days where more prefered than others, but that was from when I went back in like 2010, so who knows if it's still a thing. Basically, the Party is happening Day 1 of Comic Con. Hope that was informative.

"No Death" is lame and pathetic. The possibility of dying in a combat encounter is a way of saying that you as a player, messed up in combat and have to pay the price of messing up in combat. Removing that feedback loop means removing consequences to gameplay and with that, it removes any skill requirement or expectations placed on the player. You have no need to get better or to understand the mechanics. If there are no consequences to gameplay and if there is no need to improve your skill as a player, then why play a game? After all, a game is meant to be, first and foremost, played. If you don't want to play the game, then you can watch video clips on KZfaq or watch a stream on Twitch. Why be a gamer if you don't want to play the game and get better at it? If someone brings up accessibility and disability as points for having "no death" in a game, shame on you. Shame on you for practicing bigotry of low expectations.

Every video about the game to come out makes my hope die a little more. Like i'm glad people can be represented and wear their preferred styles and junk, but they have released basically zip about the game besides character creation, romance, and solas. The most interesting info they've released is the 3-man party and the return of healing, but that's about it.

Not going to lie I’m even more excited after hearing that you can choose whether you die or not in the settings. You typically see that from RPGs that have an extreme amount of hours in them (sorry caitie) and typically also have very hard difficulty options that can feel rewarding to get through. I just hope that is the case though.
