And I always told my friends who gave him crap for becoming a Yankee, don't forget that this guy won the game that sent us to the playoffs. All the respect in the world for this man.

Best glue guy of my lifetime. He would die for a teammate. The man gave up 500k to back up his own teammate. He pitched 3 games in a 5 game series(risked serious injury in a contract year) for the brewers knowing they couldn’t afford him past that season. He pitched with a dislocated shoulder in the 2019 cs trying to keep the Yankees alive and still hit 91. He made it clear that to take the ball and his jersey he’d have to have gotten every last pitch out of him and the legends last pitch was as memorable as his first. This nationals/orioles fan will miss you cc. Enjoy a hard earned retirement.
