This is awesome. Thank you, Mr. Jones, for covering this. I have two boys and keep battling the school district every year that my boys are normal and fine. Both straight A's, gifted IQ's. If the school can't get you labeled with a learning disorder they will find a way to label you due to boredom of the mundane school work and that they're not challenged. I have happened to have worked in the healthcare field to see the effects of meds but I am also a sub teacher and see it. The teachers have met their match and I won't bow down and brought tears to some teachers eyes because I won't budge. One teacher even suggested neglect and that I keep breaking my child's leg when he wants to run because I refuse any labeling or diagnosing and especially meds of any sorts. That one warranted a call to the principal and attorney on my behalf. What's sad is seeing parents who have no idea they do not have to give consent to anything, to any screening, evaluations. The trust and believe what they're told. But yet it happens everyday due to the strong arming and sneakiness of the staff to get it done before the parent finds out otherwise. We need to educate parents prior to their kids getting into kindergarten ideally. This kind of practice needs stopped. Nobody needs to have a label to live.

Being human is a learning experince all throughout our lives. Rising your child to understand their emotions and the world is what parents are supposed to do. Giving them drugs cause they have this mental issue or that, is not parenting. I was never given drugs, my parents did their job and I turned out to be a very good and socially acceptable person as I grew up. I'm 31 and I'm still doing just fine. Married, artist, and writer, and a few friends just the way I like it. No drugs included.

For example, did you know that many FDA directors and/or other higher ups usually come from the very same drug companies the FDA is supposed to regulate? Well what's happening is the FDA is forming liasons (has already formed I should say!) with the BIG drug companies and now I'd say the FDA's primary function is as a nurse for Doctor Big Med.' READ THE BOOK.

Labeling normal behaviour in children as a mental issue is such a deviant thing. My son cleans his room all the time too......they would have labeled him obsessive compulsive, as well. Didn't know they have been screening kids without parents' knowledge, though. I wonder what terms they use to cover this? I bet it's one of those many "surveys" they gave two or three times a year.
