I did notice with the "clean" that the deposits tend to be more mixed with the coating, which tends to fall off versus lead deposits from the CCI Quiet that I've used, which are harder to just shake free (I haven't tried the semi version). The Quiet also doesn't cycle my 10/22, which means less deposits in the action, which I think makes it a bit better, at least for me.

Great stuff brother 👏 as someone who put thousands of rounds through 22 suppressors I clean them very often . Usually around the 500 round point, usually every 2 weeks but sometimes once a week. I have been wanting to do a 500 round comparison but still haven't been able to get the cci clean to do it with . I was hoping getting the clean would extend the cleaning cycles but it doesn't look like it would .

Thank you for this video. During the Corona doldrums, I found a 1964 Marlin 39a and Winchester 67a (no serial number) in my deceased father’s closet. I never even saw them out and forgot they existed. So this find has peaked my interest to preserve and use these beauties. At the age of 45, I am a beginner. Choosing what ammo to use would be a learning lesson. I just happened to choose CCI Quiet after reading up on how to keep the noise down and hoping it was also clean(er) than the competition. What a great resource this video is to confirm I did ok in choosing quiet. Any other suggestions for these old guns? Both are going to the gunsmith for a checkup before firing.

Was there a reason you used one rotation (3 turns) on the CCI clean and what looked like 2 rotations (5-6 turns) on the CCI semi-auto? The different methodology negates your results and no meaningful conclusions can be drawn.

Thank you for the video, but that was testing carbon fouling, not lead. The "clean" referrers to lead fouling. My .22 suppressor gets lead buildup so bad it has to scrapped off with dental tools. The carbon is easy to clean, the lead cleanup is horrible, which is why I'm looking into the CCI Clean rounds.

I like that you're doing something different. Did you have a bulk ammo as a control?

Didn't seem ether was cleaner just a slight difference in where the deposits concentrated.

dirt from cci Quiet bro left in the rifles barrel ,therefore is why in the rear of the suppressor the dirt is more than in the front of the suppressor, look at the barrel and you will see that I am right,you are making a wrong comparison of cleanliness, in this comparison no one is not interested in the cleanliness of the suppressor but in the cleanliness of the rifle barrel.Greetings from Northern Republic of Macedonia X Republic of Yugoslavia.
