Likeness for both head sculpts could be better, and the lack of a more neutral portrait coupled with some articulation issues really hinder display options. This release falls a bit short of expectation. Thanks for watching!

love this review of CCToys' figure of the World's Most Angry Guitarist lol. Agree they should have a neutral or somber expressions included instead of Angry, and Bloody Angry. That's a lot of accessories, and I love the inclusion of the seamless arms but I wonder if that's enough to offset the many flaws of this figure.

Perhaps this is an example of "less is more" because Joel had less going on but the presentation is much more solid.

Great review as always man mine should be coming hopefully in the next 2 weeks wanted to ask I've been hearing problems with the seamless arms when people try to interchange them for the jointed one the seamless ones have been reported broken in the upper shoulder sections I wanted to know what was your strategy on properly interchanging the arms without breaking the seamless ones

Holy moly, thanks for bringing that to my attention! I was totally unaware of the issue! I grabbed the arm by the uppermost tip, as close to the shoulder as I could, before pulling it out. I swapped both arms back and forth multiple times in the same way that's shown in the video. It's like pulling out a wired headphone: go up as close as you can to the jack and pull by the head instead of by the wire, if that analogy makes any sense 😅 Best of luck! And thank you for watching! EDIT: Forgot to mention that I put the arms in a T-pose before pulling them out as that's the ideal angle relative to the arm's joint.

@@jayf314 I checked again in the harsh lights in my light box. Using the TBL bodies as comparison, I'd say this Ellie leans a bit closer for suntan, even though kinda in between. It's just that the pale one from TBL is REALLY pale 😅 Hope that helps!!

Thank you so much for watching! After spending over a week with this figure, I'm more convinced that I should hunt down the MTToys sculpt. And since no one is selling just the sculpt anymore, I gotta make up my mind soon about biting it and just buy the entire figure 😔

Hey, I received mine a while ago now, and I'm just wondering how to take out my arms, they're very tight and I don't want to be too rough, do you have any tips?

It's been recently brought to my attention that some collectors are having issues with the seamless arms, mainly in that the shoulder joint inside the arm has completely shattered during removal. So definitely don't force it if it doesn't feel like it's not gonna come out. Personally, I put the arms in a T-pose, then grab the seamless arm by the uppermost tip (as close as to the shoulder as possible) before pulling out the joint. That way, the force is only applied to just the place that matters. I've swapped the arms many times and it seems to work (thank goodness). Best of luck!

Hi elbear. I have a question. I noticed that you have both cctoys and mttoys versions of Ellie, I Already have the cctoys it’s good and I think it’s better than mttoys but I like the calm head sculpt from mttoys more, luckily I’ve found the mttoys head sculpt for sale, and I wonder if it fits the cctoys body and match the skin color?

I actually have both and let me first just say that the MTToys head sculpt will NOT disappoint 😄 But to answer your question, the CCToys head sculpt is slightly more tanned than the MTToys' counterpart. Though I don't think it's that noticeable if you're using it on the CCToys body, which brings me to the next point. Swapping the head sculpts is the only thing I have yet to try. Unfortunately I've packed away the CCToys version in storage so that's something I can't answer for you at the moment. But from what I can gather, the base bodies (barring the seamless arms) are almost identical, so my guess is that the MTToys sculpt should have no problem fitting on the CCToys version. But if worst comes to worst, I'm sure some minor mods on the neck joints should do the trick. Hope that helps~ PS: I've since been featuring the MTToys version of Ellie in the size comparison segments of many videos, such as the ASToys D.Va and i8Toys Rine/Tache figures. WHAT ABOUT ANKLE MOVEMENT. if I wanted to crouch Ellie, I don’t know or think she would say but if I do so her toes won’t be on her tips right, and would need to bend to the ground.

Yeah...no ankle movement. What you saw there in the articulations segment of the video is all there is. I was looking forward to doing the sneaky crouching poses, so much for that 😑

I think the less angry portrait is kinda bad. Its still to intense. It should be more relaxed. Ireally like the actual angry portrait, I will display my figure with that one.

I personally love the super angry one as well. I actually just picked up the MTToys version of Ellie to fill my void for a more relaxed portrait, so the next video might be a comparison between the two versions. And as always, thanks for watching!

If I wanted to find a stand for her online, what would I search???

There's already a display stand that came with the figure, but that one is so common that most of the ones you find online will be the same. If you want something robust, try searching "1/6 dynamic stand" on eBay and see if those fit what you need. They use a clamp to hold the figure for flight poses but you can adjust it lower to hold the leg for those crouching poses. Alternatively, you can also try searching for "PVC clear display stand". Those are just a stem connected to a base, but the clamp can go anywhere on the stem which is great if you just want to hold the figure by the leg or waist. Hope that helps!

It lacks something, I can feel it when I first look at it, it needs to be a more balanced proportions, the face have been carved quite well but it still seems too big for the body, and Ellie's body I know she's a thin person but not this thin. The suit is too big for her. I wish some studio could make a perfect model of Ellie, it would take a few years or never.🤧

Personally, given how the game is so divisive, I'd say Part 2 Ellie might not see another release. I hope I'm wrong though, she deserves better.

I saw all reviews on KZfaq, all are single zipper. Maybe the last batch comes with the 2 zippers. I also found that swapping the legs to the HT Black widow ver 1.0 makes it stand so much better
