If you're worried about damaging stuff from prying multiple times, you could also use a dead blow or rubber mallet to knock that part loose.

If you update the esc you get more settings including 7.4 on the bec I believe

my buddy did this last weekend with his infraction and he is running 4s lipos. thing is absolutely insane. the 9turn burns up instantly after doing donuts.

You know what. I totally didn’t. I’m usually changing to my DX5 rugged from a stock radio and don’t need to because the RTR electronics are already calibrated for Spektrum radios which are all so closely calibrated that it isn’t necessary. Totally blew it off. I doubt these are calibrated to Spektrum as they haven’t been programmed for an RTR

Once you put these $220 dollar worth of upgrades in does the car perform better than a typical Venedtta or Infraction brushless out of the box? Or is it perhaps faster? Anything else needed to support these mods?

You really should use the Aluminium motor mount plate when going brushless, the motor can move mounting the extra power of the brushless motor has. Otherwise it can move when mounted to the stock plastic motor mount.

What if I’m not running lipo battery’s currently? I don’t have a smart programmer. I ordered this set of motor and ESC because I keep burning up the 9turns. What should I do to change the setting in to NIMH battery? Also, is the pinion and gear needed to change with this set up? Just want to make sure I have everything ready.

You can program it from the buttons on the ESC. You can also use Nimh

Unfortunately no. This ESC only works with Brushed motors. Are you looking for on-road?

Don't forget the bigger pinion is not made for bashing only blacktop speed runs. Motor will run hotter the bigger the pinion or smaller the spur

I put a 150 amp firma a 5900kv brushless ON 4S. Regeared. And a driveshaft bearing.6s is next GPS SAID 134 MPH ....... DONT FORGET THAT YOU WILL DESTROY IT
