The thing is, phonetically speaking, Japanese and Spanish are very similar, so he could use his Japanese as a jumping off point for spanish

@FrostReave phonetically (aka sound based) they are very similar.. they share most of the sounds with a few exceptions, and the others are pretty close. You can check the IPA if you want

I think the biggest reason why he’s so good at Spanish pronunciation is his Welsh. The a e i o u of Spanish are present in Welsh and sound close enough, and they roll their R’s as well. Also there are a lot of similarities in cadence and the stress patterns between Celtic and Romance languages (that is, the stress often falls on the penultimate syllable), so that helps a lot

Ya know he sounds pretty good, his R's are almost perfect must be all the Japanese he's learned (Japanese and Spanish have very similar phonetics)

Yeah Japanese and Spanish have similar phonetic but R's are one of the different ones. Its a mix of l and r in Japanese and more of a flutter r in Spanish, edit actually it seems Spanish has two r sounds and one of them is very similar to Japanese r

@@theblackdeath10 yup there's the rolling/trill R that sounds like the Japanese R that the Yankees use. The other R is similar to a D meanwhile the other R in Japanese sounds more like an L but I have heard them also use the D sounding R as well but this seems to be more of a local dialect difference.

@@theblackdeath10yeh we have both Rs, sometimes we roll it and sometimes we say it exactly the same as japanese people, so yeah for most spanish people is really easy to pronounce japanese.

It's moments like this I remember English is technically Connor's second language, making Spanish his fourth. Might have helped if Mouse told him it was Diwrnod y Meirw in Welsh, but that would probably be a whole other problem.

Well in any normal circumstance, if two people wanted to be together, they would be. But this isn't exactly a normal circumstance. They can't physically be around each other because of her condition. At least for right now. I have no idea if they want to be together or not, but if they do, why make such a decision now when they don't even know if Mouse will ever be able to handle being in close proximity to him?
