They had their own alphabet before The Latin one! It’s goes as far back as 1000BCE. As for Runes, yes Runes. They aren’t letters, In fact, The Nordics were one of the last peoples to adopt the Latin alphabet and er go, learn to read and write.

it's a really old language, maybe from before vowels ? But seriously, languages and culture develop very differently. We are talking about 100s of years and often in isolation, unlike this hyper-connected world we life in now.

@@autohmaeIt is a myth that welsh is really old because languages can not be "old" in any meaningfull sense. Welsh is just as old as english is

@@siraco4278 the origins are about the same age year 500, Primitive Welsh and Old English. But Late Modern Welsh is from 1588, while Modern English is from 1700 So Welsh as it exists is older.

Welsh has a couple extra of what English would treat as vowel sounds. AEIOU as well as W (oo/w) and Y (ee/i) _Wyth_ for example sounds kind of like "oith", and _wythnos_ like "withnos"

@@mlvendetta8330 yeah that is him crediting pewdiepie as better than just the bike ride "it's amazing that you are doing this bike ride..but it's even better that pewdiepie is with you" in general like it sounds like he's putting focus on felix rather than the bike ride for charity or atleast that's what I got from that unless he meant that it's great that Connor doing ut but it's better that felix is doing it with him for charity I dunno but from the subtitles it sounded abit like he was more interested in felix than like why the bike ride was being done that's just me though.

It's a beautiful language thats coming from an English bloke have a little respect our past government are the c**ts who made Welsh children for the past 200 years until quite recently feel horrible and or literally beat them for speaking a language from their own culture, I dunno about you but that sounds sickening to me.
