As I mentioned in my last video, the CDC usually diagnoses people with genital herpes when they have an active outbreak and can test a culture from the outbreak to determine what type of breakout it exactly is.
If you had a blood test and it revealed that your IGG numbers are revealing that you are testing positive for genital herpes but you are asymptomatic (which means you aren’t showing any symptoms or outbreaks in regards to genital herpes), it can mean that you are indeed a carrier of the virus and you’ve just never shown any symptoms, or that you received a false positive from your blood test.

I had a false positive with the IGG test at 3.4. Took the WB Test through Terri Warren, they did at University Of Washington Virology. My Western Blot came out negative.

Thank you so much for this video I’m from nyc I wanted to know if the doctors will use the western blot test for herpes testing because it’s only one way to get that test and it’s three a lady and she will charge around 500 dollars

Hey, $500 for what? The last time I heard NY wasn't offering this test, but neighboring states like PA are. Double check with your provider about this because this could be updated. Also you're welcome!

@@shan2546 hmmm, do you have insurance? Can you speak to your doctor first about your options and see if insurance covers it before going with her.. if insurance doesn't cover it in your state, check to see if they would cover it if you go over to another state

The place I went to told me to get a comfirmation after I got 1.6 I don’t know if it’s western blot though..the first was herpaselect

My HSV-1 IgG test came to be 22.5. I have no symptoms or outbreaks ever. Can i still be positive or should I repeat any other tests for confirmation?

Try to get a confirmation test. Some doctors might be resistant in administering it

You should go to Urgent or your doctor immediately to get the area swabbbed to confirm if it is a HSV2 infection

Hi I'm from India...... And I desperately want to order western blot... But the Drs here are not educated Enough about hsv Western blot.... I was diagnosed on a basis of a lip Infection I had and , I'm still negative on the blood test I want confirmation...is there a way I can order it in India

That what you saying don’t make since . If some one have a test score of 1.45 out of 3.5 . They are more on the negative side of herpes . If some one are close to the 3.5 range than that have high positive herpes . Make it make sense …

Hi Devunte, Continue your research process to help it make sense to you. 1.10 is positive with a IgG tests. Western blot tests have a different standard, talk to your doctor to get your specific questions answered!
