Fun fact: Cecil once did a play for the Neo-Futurists where he complained that people tell him he has a great voice for voice acting, but no one wants to hire him. He then recorded a voicemail message for one audience member. Joseph Fink was in the audience and decided to hire him for WTNV.

@@munafruit Yes! Joseph's wife Meg (the voice of the credits) is a Neo-Futurist and Joseph has also been active in making the shows. He met Jeffrey Cranor there as well. Without Neo-Futurists, there would be no WTNV.

Recently got into the Night Vale podcast (still got a ways to go), and holy shit is it addictive for me! I wouldn't be surprised if, as a gift for Cecil's years of radio service, the City Council blessed him with a spell where his voice could give his listeners the feeling of snorting crack.

Cecil is a person who is not big. He is a person who is not menacing. The person who is not big and not menacing has a voice that is big and menacing and can make your radio show seem ominous. I did not see pictures of C. Baldwin until I had listened to about 20 episodes. He looks NOTHING like the c. Palmer that secretly lives in my head when I listen. Even watching him I cannot see it as Cecil. It just doesn't look right,
