Since you're involved in opera, you might find it interesting that Avi Kaplan, the bass here (and the one who sang the second solo part), was an opera/classical voice major in college, trained as a basso profundo, and had been offered a position with the Los Angeles Opera about the same time that he was recruited into Pentatonix for their appearance on The Sing Off. True to his dedication to his music, he still takes voice lessons, to strengthen and protect his voice. On his European tour (which is still going), he became ill, but refused to cancel any shows. Instead, he lowered the key of the songs, and was able to perform beautifully. Dedication to his craft and to his fans...

and if I remember the story, they had to wait until late afternoon for the drones to show up for those aerial shots. Yes PTX is truly incredible and have over 11 years to explore and for a quick jump, listen to their own cover of Amazing Grace from 2? years ago, to hear how they have developed

**THERE ARE LITERALLY NO WORDS IN MY ENGLISH VOCABULARY, THAT CAN DESCRIBE THIS GROUP!!!** ❣ I have also come to the conclusion, that Mitch is an Alien, from the planet of WTF 🙃 😊🙃 I truly love how Pentatonix will put their own spin on a song, yet still manage to keep the integrity & respect the original artist. Loved your reaction, & if you have not yet listened or reacted to the following, I would highly recommend, The Prayer, Amazing Grace, & Mary Did You Know 💝💝💝

That was power and majesty in my opinion. The best "hallelujah I've ever heard. I listened to KD Lang sing it at the 2010 Olympics but I didn't care for that version. I don't know how anyone can call Pentatonix light weight. I recommend their cover, The Sound of Silence.

First up, congratulations on being able (somehow) to display that particular video on the larger screen without any distortions that I could pick. Amazing, given what other reactors have been forced to show. Thanks for reacting to this beautiful song. Your technical skills are appreciated and makes for an interesting and unique reaction. Also your fanboy reaction! Good luck with your Ukraine benefit concert. An even more worthwhile activity (and I love Pentatonix reactions).

Thing to note: when Avi has his solo, Scott is singing the bass line. His range is amazing; in fact, several of them have remarkable ranges. That last section shows off what we Pentaholics call their "Wall of Sound." As one of the judges noted during the Sing-Off, for only five people, they manage to take up an awful lot of space, musically.

OMG! I bought some small JBL speakers for a previous desktop. Its aux speaker connection was apparently faulty because they soon stopped working. I put them away for years. I bought a new desktop and the built-in speakers are, again unhelpfully for someone with hearing loss, in the back. I was just hunting for something else, saw the JBLs and dragged them out of a drawer and thought to give them a try in my new computer. I've listened to PTX's "Hallelujah" dozens of times but never got the full effect of Avi's bass that is suddenly audible to me. OMG. It definitely was my old computer, not the JBL's. What a wonder!! Avi is even better than I've always thought! Gazow!

People tell you should listen to this group through headphones - dead right! But is you switch from say $200 - $300 headphones to audiophile quality gear - say the $2,000 - $3,000 range - it's on a whole other level - like discovering the group all over again. In uber high quality gear - with great sound stage - it is simply mind blowing. Glad I got the chance to hear them on Sennheisier HD820s - cause it was wow - unbelievable!

I've not been into orbit but I've seen this blue and white ball from quite a long way up. The first thing you notice is how thin is the atmosphere, and yet in that shallow sea of air you not only have unbelievable beauty, as in the Mohave desert here, but some incredible descendants of primative apes who can create such perfection. We are blessed, without a doubt.

It's funny, I was a fan of Pentatonix for years before hearing this. I kept avoiding it because I have heard so many versions of Hallelujah that, in general, I don't like the song anymore. When I saw they did a cover I rolled my eyes and said "of course they did" because everyone does this song so I didn't listen to it because I don't like it. It was maybe a year ago I finally watched it because I saw so many reactors reacting to it and it might be my favorite song they've ever done. They do this song so much better than any other version I've ever heard that it made me actually like a song that I've disliked for many many years.

The ancient dry lake-bed with surrounding hills is wonderful. I suppose I am biased, but when I saw this, I wondered: "How far are you from the Trinity site? And the later test sites?" A lot of the SW US desert is not a good place to linger. But HomeFree's music is awesome.
