I'd say the fact that Cedarfair will handpick the ones they know will praise their new rides is definitely telling.

This is like a basic lesson on making bad PR even worse but probably won't ultimately matter. In terms of overall content, sometimes I get annoyed with overly negative content from people who think they are entitled to everything they wish for but there's obviously a delicate balance to it. I don't want an industry where no one is calling out companies for questionable behavior but I also don't want it it to be like, say, the game industry where everyone complains so much that you wonder why they take part in the first place. As far as the lockers, it was was my understanding that Zamperla changed their recommendations at the last minute? That puts the park in a difficult spot because their insurers and attorneys certainly wouldn't approve of going against those recommendations, even though we all know that TT2 is not some crazy RMC that's going to toss all of your items out of your pockets. It's definitely frustrating either way.

CP seems kinda shady when it comes to this media event. Even as TT2 as a whole. Itll be a madhouse come opening day. Were wanting to sell shoes outside the queue lol

I’ve had a very similar experience with the folks at Carowinds for their media ordeals. They said my content brought the park into a negative light, while it was just a prediction about a coaster closing (more specifically Nighthawk). Cedar Fair seems to be hit or miss though as I did the same with KI as I made 5 year plans and predictions. I still work with them to this day for media events and opportunities with no tension whatsoever. Seems like CP is trying to cover their tracks and stay out of the wrong here, which is getting noticed by many.

Also this community has two sides to it with a lot falling in between. There are hardcore sell outs and there are also people making satirical no limits 2 videos. One makes far more money, the other is somebody I’d hang out with.

I understand both sides and I agree with locker policy being a total joke but there is a lot of ridiculous entitlement in the enthusiast community when a park doesn’t build exactly what they want like Orion and Top Thrill 2. There was a lot of negativity about Top Thrill 2 because it didn’t meet the expectations based on No Limits BS. Enthusiasts still complain about Orion after 4 years. Cedar Point built themselves over backwards to keep Dragster they had every excuse to get rid of it years ago. Enthusiasts are basically used as free marketing tools for parks.

Glad to see you posting again! I thank you for all of your unbiased hard work you have done towards the community even if your posts are rare. Personally tho, I like to see quality over quantity like you said in your video. I would much rather see a coaster youtuber like you cover events that are happening in the industry rather than some mediocre hourly upload by coaster studios

I was wondering why all the TT2 media day videos in my feed were from smaller channels, now it makes total sense. I can't imagine a Coaster Idiots video where nobody says anything about the locker policy...

As an alternative, I would suggest saying "screw it, we'll report as we see it, and free lockers please and thank you!" Don't get me wrong, if I had the time/resources to do this Coaster Influence thing (and I'd like to actually try my hand at that, as a Bucket List thing to try one day), I'd definitely love to attend media days. But I think that it would be wiser in the long-term to treat the Sandusky Register being sandbagged from the media event like a child throwing a temper tantrum. Unless they start actually banning journalists and freelance influencers from their park, there is nothing stopping an unofficial freelance media day, if the intent is just to meet other coaster fans from around the country and globe. The fact that they got all hackled over a lawsuit over sexual allegations makes me think that they hit a sore nerve, and that they are (probably) not going to do much. At the very least, they want to keep this embarrassing topic private as possible. Doesn't stop me from putting Cedar Point high on my list of travel destinations I'd like to visit, and I doubt that the locker situation will change people's minds from wanting to go try Top Dragster's replacement/successor. Still, free lockers would be very, very nice.

Like most people CP lost focus on the long game to get 1 jab in. Now they may have a local already prominent content creator that from this day fwd is salivating to publish the next big story. New coaster, 1 Day. News worthy issues could possibly happen daily. Not very smart in my mind

This isnt disagreeing with anything you said but I was invited as a guest rider, it was an incredible experience and I have no reason to say anything negative from that perspective. I will also say I am willing to channel any criticism as a whole to the proper ears in order to make sure I don't fall out of the good graces of CP. I'm a CP regular so there is some merit to what you're saying as I've watched it evolve over a few decades. I was really thrilled to speak to some people there and i understand the struggle of everything they have on their plate.

cedar point is by far an intitled spoiled brat of the cedar fair private school chain I like the call it always throwing a hissing fit and complaining the the head cedar fair principle, cedar point back then was a park I really went to go too but nowadays cedar point is no longer on my bucklist anymore it just bad in my eye and I kinda prefer six flags aka a public school chain

Not a fan of cedar fair parks, dont like some of the policies, cedar point especially, went 2 years ago during the week and got on 4 coasters all day, RIDICULOUS!! now u cant give honest takes on things, i will never go back to cedar point, these u tubers should be able to give honest feedback, without worrying about about not being invited back, STUPID
