That is the question I would like to be asked. My take is that TT2 is a good different experience but will not compare to the 0 to 120 launch. Loved hearing the cable scream. Going back in 2025 so will finally be able to get my own answer. I don’t like how jiggly the trains are. I’m just glad they gave it new life rather than abandoning it.

@@jeffd1126 I'm actually with you, and to be honest, the original Top Thrill Dragster had A TON of character and charm to it, that I feel the Top Thrill Dragster 2 unfortunately feels vanilla and similar to other coasters. Plus, they removed many of the elements, the hissing of the mechnical launchers, the annoucer saying "Keep Arms Down! Head Back! And Hold On!"

I think people under estimated how much fun the backwards launch into the spike was going to be. As Having Superman at SFMM at my home park and enjoying it very much. Cool feeling the weightlessness that high.

I was there for the Prestige preview and was in the station when the ride went down for around an hour.

Cedar Point has the 2nd most roller coasters of any park in the world with 18. You need 2 days to ride everything. Definitely worth the trip

I’m glad it’s “back”, but I think this will be a huge downgrade from what it used to be. I hope I’m wrong though.

How could this be a downgrade? It's better in every way apart from the initial launch acceleration.

@@triple7marc For me, TTD's launch was the best thing at the park. While I also think TT2 is a downgrade, I think it will be my favorite ride there due to launches ang high speed.

@@triple7marc The launch on dragster was my favorite part of any rollercoaster by far. I just don’t think Top Thrill 2 will be nearly as good because it doesn’t have the same acceleration. I get that all the other elements will probably be cool, but I think I’ll like dragster better. However, I hope I’m wrong.

I say to the naysayers, ride the thing before you make your judgment. Because a lot of people who thought like you have since changed their minds after riding TT2. I'm just saying!🤷🏿‍♂️
