A reminder that having different opinions contributes to a better level of teaching and learning about anything. What I love about cEDH is its inherently didactic nature in the same way studying math in school trains your brain to be more flexible and able to interact better with any situation, even though you will think for the entirety of your life that you will never make use of the method to solve a second degree equation.

Something that would be cool for a future coaching session could be a discussion of when the hand is a keep. Some hands are keeps on a mull to 5 but not keeps on first 7

0 mana: shuffle your hand into your library, draw 7, bottom 1. Each time this effect resolves, you may copy it. If this effect would make you bottom a card, bottom an extra card for each time it was copied. This effect can not be copied more than 6 times. Sounds pretty strong to me.

Fantastic comment. I may add imagine having a 0 mana commander with partner and the text that you wrote. Then you can ask people: would this be something that people would play if mulligans didn't exist? Hell yeah, I agree.

Okay this is scary. A friend of mine asked me last week how to mulligan better and I told him to randomize a match with decks and seatorder and a moxfield hand. He wanted to keep hands with no ramp or value but that got 2 counterspells (mental misstep and dispel) and I told him exactly like you did on this channel. cEDH TV have bugged our phones confirmed 😉 Jokes aside. Just means how much I learned so much just watching and playing with you guys! Thank you ❤️ I think it would be awesome if you could make a video showcasing: 1. An example deck and it's goals. What does it aim for. 2. The seatorder and what each opponent is playing. What is the decks role in the pod. 3. Hands and mulligan and what to look for. Telling: a. Why mulligan the hand b. In what situation would you keep it and not keep it. c. Why risk mulliganing further. Especially if you do it like in this video. One apprentice explaining their views and 2 masters in different styles (Pontus for a more aggressive turbo view and Måns for a more safer midrange view) explaining why it could be a trap. Think a lot of people could have use of such a video to get better with their mulligans and understand how to mulligan 😀

I think this video greatly showcases "mull to win" vs "mull to play". Sure it's fun to get a hand that can make plays every turn. But depending on your decks strategy you need to execute >certain things< and not just >things

This is just how I like playing cEDH, but I often enjoy playing the “slower” decks even though I am fully aware their win percentage isn’t great. Not terrible but more like ~18-20% in my playgroup. The wins are much more fun for me than my turbo decks. Since I’m not a grinder I am perfectly happy with that.
@cedhtv
@cedhtv 5 ай бұрын
You should play what you like to play. Nothing wrong with choosing a deck with a lower winrate.

Big maybe. I think other channels are alredy doing that. I don't know if they still do but cEDH cast (no longer active channel) used to do that and I would like to recommend that one. But as that channel isent doing much anymore I guess this could be something to take back up again.

Game winning spells, tutors, powerful draw engines, wheels or a concrete line to victory Focus usually lies on draw engines.
