Peta and Lilli make some of the best-presented and tastiest herbal tea blends of any Zimbabwean tea producers. Over the years they have continuously tried new blends, new packaging materials and new market growth strategies, and they are rightly acknowledged as pioneers in their field. I caught up with them at the 2023 Good Food Fair to see their latest innovation, Advent, a box of 25 different tea bags each with its own unique blend, artwork and back story.
In this series I am celebrating the pioneering entrepreneurs in the emerging BioTrade sector in Zimbabwe. BioTrade has a huge role to play in building our economy and improving the way we manage our biodiversity. But it takes people with courage, vision and perseverance to make it work. This is my way of appreciating those people.
