Celebrity designer Valdrin Sahiti is in hot water after several women accused him and his team of scamming them out of thousands of dollars. Beyoncé, Halle Bailey, and Taraji P. Henson are just a few of the big names that have been seen wearing Sahiti’s designs. His celebrity clients are part of why so many Black women invested money in custom wedding dresses designed by him - wedding dresses they claim to have never received after sending thousands of dollars. Women from all over are coming forward and sharing their experiences on the receiving end of the alleged scam. Are Black women being misled? That Designer is a SCAMMER!! My sister ordered a dress from them which was 5K. She had to put down a $2500 deposit. Thank God she did it through American Express which refunded her money. American Express is now suing the designer

@@xin0it's okay when they send you updates about your order through WA, but all the arrangements should be done via email. And all complaints should ve sent via email. In EU there is a time limit (48 or 72 hours, I forgot) where you as a business have to respond to a complaint email and if you don't, you can get sued.

To the customers who don’t have an understanding of how haute couture works behinds the scenes, that price point and timeframe seems plausible - but in fact these kinds of dresses takes months + will be price pointed in the 20-50k range. Most people who work with celebrities or influencers do not give the same effort or respect to regular people because they believe their not worth it or needed because they get paid thousands from these people. Altho, a lot of times desginers will just make free outfits for celeberties to wear just for the publicity and attention to scam regular civilians. Its sad cause when they drop lines, these celebs will not be single handly funding them and they change desginers more than they brush their teeth. So the desgins you made for Kim K once won't matter in 2 or 3 years when no one supports you because you thought she was the only one worth the effort. #1 business advice if you want to cater to specific clientile, just say you don't take orders/clients. And for regular shoppers *BE AWARE OF BUYING FROM CELEB/INFLUENCERS* make sure you see some regular "unknown" people!

This was clearly clearly a scam! Hand beading alone starts at 2 to 5 thousand. What made these women think they would get a HandMade Wedding dress for LuLu lemon prices. If this was the actual designers website and business then you should straight up sue his company. But it clearly was a scam. Heck the fabric of the dresses they wanted starts at approximately 2 to 3 hundred a yard then the pattern costs the fittings cost the design costs. I am so confused by these people thinking they can get a 25 thousand dollar dress for peanuts. Your best bet go to your local seamstress they won't cost nearly as much and they are in your home town.😬

Sorry but I just think the wedding dress industry has a shady side. There are always stories about bridal shops suddenly closing out of the blue leaving brides high and dry. I know with my own dress, the order "never came in from NYC" even though I order 6 months in advance. I had to have the floor sample dress altered in order to have a dress for my wedding.

We need to bring the tradition of making our own wedding dresses back or letting the elders in our family make them come back again. Stay away from these “designers” that are literally copying off of your style in the first place. Let’s go back to being creative again and finding a seamstress to help us design and make our dress. I don't even think this really has anything to do with this designer. I think someone has set up a scam side there is no way these gowns could cost $2,500 there's absolutely no way I don't even do prom dresses for under that amount.

So upsetting for sure! I will dare say from this point on search first on the Luxury Bridal Stores in the major cities and try to find out if they carry the line, usually those stores will have what is called a Trunk Show where the designer and team member will be taking measurements and the store will give you a written contract/receipt.

I'm 2:25 into the video, and I hear 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 already. 1) 6-8 weeks for a designer dress? What? A designer dress takes months to make once the order is placed. The order should go in 6 months to a year before the wedding date. 2) What designer dress cost $2,500? There is no way the dress shown costs $2,500. No way! That's a $20,000 dress, not including sizing and alterations. Let's continue...

You should never pay a merchant through PayPal or Western Union. If they don't have a website with terms and conditions or disclosures be very wary. Because if you try to file it with a bank they need proof. Always get things in writing.

PayPal will give you your money back if the merchant doesn't follow through on follow up coversations when you ask the merchant for a refund. You have a time limit tho to open a dispute

Terms and conditions on website doesn't matter. Some fake sites out there with copy n pasted terms n conditions. Now we have A.I whereas it can just generate smart terms n conditions for you

You will learn that doing business with a figure is not the way to go. Go to a DESIGNER IN PERSON. A reputable REAL business. For all you know, this could've been a scammer posing as the "celebrity designer." It's sad what WE fall for. 😢

This is bigger than that this is bigger than customer service it sounds like a hate crime. He needs to be investigated and Banded From doing business in the US. He and his company should have a class action lawsuit against them and there should be criminal charges that is criminal do you see how good those dresses look that’s disgusting. To purposely destroy the wedding day of black women is one of the most disgusting things you could do. Should pay for that

That is a whole scam, my sisters dress cost her with another designer, that type of detail and intricate off the calibre of dress cost her $22k. Took 8months with all the beading and pearl sewing it took over 2000 hours on it! So I'm not buying the Valdrin $5k dress. Very sceptical! He scammed them!
