Praying that Maricar can read this little comment of mine: Hello there, dear sister in Christ. I looked up to you how you rose from such downfall. I remember grieving with you, I don't know why. But I felt how much it broke you knowing the circumstances. I was mad alongside you, when people disrespected you. I was happy when you came to Him, surrounded yourself with fellowship, and even married Mr. Poon, who's character is empowering and graceful. Thank you for being a living testimony to God's LOVE that can overcome ANYTHING. I appreciate your skills, your refined nature, and praying for you and your family. Thank God for your life.

Who else appreciate Toni on how she understood the assignment. She has post its in the pages that she has some takeaways with. This does not only mean that she wants to get to know the person she is interviewing with, but she also wants her guest to feel that her piece of work is valued and appreciated. Way to go, Toni! When the scandal hit, I already admired her then, so much, because I thought this woman carries a lot of inner strength. She silently endured her battles with grace. That's a lot for someone to go daily to work and face the world knowing the world is looking at you. I still remember during those times she attended a program night show in abs-cbn. Wow. The guts to be there knowing that all eyes and thoughts of other people were on her. That's why I admire her even then. She never said anything about it. What's there to say, anyway. She never explained to anyone, she doesn't owe anyone. And here she is, still as strong but with God in her life, stronger, wiser and with inner peace in her heart.

Same thoughts here. I really admired her for that. The "wapakels" attitude even though it was just a front; she endured and didn't let it break her. Naka-relate din ako ng sobra sa mga sinabi niya coz during one of my lowest points, I also fantasized about committing suicide pero yung nagpigil sakin yung pain na alam kong mararamdaman na pamilya ko.

I love Toni how her ways sa pag iinterview. Marunong syang makinig sa kwento at alam nya ang nararamdaman ng kanyang kausap. Salute to this wonderful, brave and God-fearing woman who was able to recover from a very devastating scandal. God really is good no matter what we've been through. We may not understand the reasons for the challenges and sufferings in our lives but if we just surrender and trust God, there will always a time for healing and deliverance.

When the grace of God touches your life, there are no words to describe that feeling. It is unexplainable. Unimaginable. That’s why it is often hard to understand people who believe otherwise because there is so much you are missing. This is one of the most profound stories Toni has done so far. Though it took Maricar years to share, she is a most beautiful vessel of that story. Bravo.

I currently needed to hear this right now.. im on the verge of depression and having anxiety attacks because i dont know how to do my work anymore. Im not making progress and i feel like everybody wants to see me fail in our standup meeting.. putting this in the background removes all the overwhelming feeling and suddenly i can think straight.. this must be how light the christians feel. Minutes ago i feel like the world didnt want to see me happy, but its just me putting problems to myself and not facing it properly. Praise the Lord.

I experienced that too. I'm not the best, perfect person but I talked to God. I didn't trade anything I just opened my heart and I felt his love. It's true what Maricar says she's not crying about what happened to her, she's crying because she feels God loves her. Ganon din ako. I cried when I said thank you to Him every time. I should not deserve the happiness of my heart but He loves me. Ang gaan ng feeling.That love is spreading to my family, they're happy as I am.❤️❤️

I’ve watched Maricar’s scandal and at that time I asked myself why she was too quiet and didn’t even react on it. Honestly, at that time I appreciated her as I thought she dealt with the issue subtly but not knowing that she was struggling BIG TIME. I am inspired with your story and very proud of what you have become now. Your dark moment has brought you to a brighter chapter of your life. Never be ashamed of your past but use it to inspire more people especially those who are in the same situation so they can be as brave, happy and confident as you are now. Way back, i really thought she was not affected that much, kasi wala syang reaction tsaka lalo sya sumikat after the scandal. I never imagined grabe pala ang epekto sa kanya. Bilib lang ako na she still managed to compose herself in front of the camera even if may pinagdadanan sya... I'm her fan! I know the name Maricar Reyes not because of the video scandal but to her unique acting skills na sya lang ang nakakagawa so far.

True indeed, the Old Book she referred was the Holy Bible (Scriptures) Book which transformed her by reading the word of God, studying and meditating and most of all asking for forgiveness and she repented fully. "I once was lost but now I'm found" Whenever I am reminded of the painful experience I had, I go back to this line not because it is still painful but because I wanted to remember how God delivered me from it. He has always been there waiting for me but I denied myself of the free gift of salvation. He took me out of the sinful life I used to live. He gave me freedom I am enjoying now. God is preparing us for the life He planned for each one of us, the process may be painful but the outcome is victorious. To those who are in painful situations now, remind yourselves that it is not always like this, it will pass. Trust God's process of healing you and hold on to His words. He has plans for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you.

When she tells the story of the teacher and the tax collector, it hits home for me. I've reached a point in my life where I compare my circumstances to those of others and wonder how they are more fortunate than I am. How are people more prosperous than me when I think that I deserve it more? We might think that we are better than the others or that they have committed more sin than us, but that's not what he sees. God sees what's in our hearts and how we present ourselves to him.

I’ve been waiting for her to speak how she overcame all her struggles, because just like her I also experience public shame and it totally changed myself, from someone who was super-confident and have achieved a lot in school to someone who has now low self-esteem and can hardly have a passing grades. I'm happy that she finally broke her silence and shared her side of story. I'm not one of those who watched the scandal videos. Her silence amidst the chaos was very admirable. I'm glad that she had a strong support system when it happened and her experience led her in the arms of God who healed, restored, and transformed everything in her life. This is the second time that I watched the interview and everytime, it made me cry. I just ordered her book online. I felt that it was one of the books that I will treasure bec. of the life lessons. Love how she didn’t play the the victim. She was accountable for her life choices. Yes she was a victim but she admited that she was also at fault. I'm just here for the set design someone told me to look at their latest, and so I have watched the episode with Rochelle, and then I was touched by the interview with her while being amazed with the set, and so I decided to watch another one and I saw Maricar because I really like her face (ever since), and now I'm crying with her. Though our religion might be different, but I still value this moment as a reminder to me, to stop for a while and think about this, because I'm right now in the same sadness (but diff problem) but same feelings, and this is really a good reminder, not just to sink in myself to work to forget.

I was so touched and didn't even notice that I was crying while listening to how God saved her from everything and how He made her realize that she also had a fair share of what had happened. And because of that truth and genuine love from the Lord, she was whole again.
