Hey guys!
I recently took CELPIP, so I made a video to share the techniques that worked for me. I don't have perfect English, I make lots of mistakes and grammatical errors, but I made a pretty good score in the exam. So of course, I'm here to share!

Hi Marie, I just received my scores today which are Listening 10 Reading 12 Writing 8 Speaking 10. I am pretty happy with my score, as I thought they would be a little lower in the speaking section, but I thought my best section would be the writing, and instead it is the lowest. Do you have any experience with celpip re evaluation? I am seriously considering paying for the writing section to be re evaluated, I just felt I did an immaculate job to get an 8, I do not even mind if my score does not get any better, I am just genuinely curious to know what went wrong.

Hello, I don't have any experience with re-eval but note that it can go both ways. It can retain same score, get higher score, or get lower score. Writing is really tricky in English tests. Do you have any English tests than this to compare to? I took another English test back in 2021 and I also got writing the lowest so I know that that is my weakest component. Even though if I think about it, generally, my writing is better than my speaking. Yet I got 9 writing, 10 speaking.

Hello! There is a spell check similar in word documents when we type. There will be a red line if the spelling is wrong, you can right click for the recommended spelling corrections. But if you mistyped it and it's still a word it will not have a red line. For example, you typed 'The word is round' when you mean 'The world is round'. Word will not have a red line.

Thanks for your video. I took the free sample of the celpip test on the website, and during the test, I was able to use the command "Ctrl + F" on the reading section to find keywords to get the answer faster, is this command available during the test or not?

Hello, I didn't try to ctrl+f during my exam. But I doubt that it will be allowed during the actual test. The practice test will let you do other things that you can't do in the actual exam. Like going back a page, not moving to the next page when time is up, etc.

so you mentioned in listening part, is it okay to take notes? so its okay to bring pen and paper?

Taking notes is encouraged. They will provide you with pencils and papers during the tests.

Hello, memorization and practice. I first create a template for myself then searched online for speaking test practice questions. I answer the questions using my template, then eventually time myself while answering.

Hello! There are 2 practice tests from CELPIP. If I'm not mistaken, you can access it once you book your exam. Each test is about 2-3 hours long, just like the actual exam

Nope, you can't. It's always in this sequence; listening, reading, writing, speaking.

You can do upfront medical, no need to wait for medical request. That's what I did. And pray, it could take time po talaga for a decision.

Hello, no po. You can't bring anything inside the testing room aside from your passport. You have to memorize your template po. Best of luck in your CELPIP!
