Scotch/Irish here. Great grandfather, Patrick Stewart, immigrated from Mayo County, Ireland to Lexington, Missouri, USA to work in the coal mines along the Missouri River. His daughter, Bridget, would marry grandfather John Bray and move to Kansas City, Missouri. I have felt from the time I could remember a deep feeling within me for all things Scottish and Irish. I guess it literally runs in my blood. There is a timelessness, a stillness beyond words, that glows from the culture of those islands. May all the world be surrounded and attended by the love and spiritual robes of peace and good will today and every day of the year. Our mother planet gives so much to us without our asking. We need to marvel with gratitude daily at such bounty, such beauty and care for all of creation. May all of us abide in such grace and live to protect and nourish our mother world and one another, brothers and sisters.
