This song is already a bit older, I don't really know why it took so long to finally show it. It is quite a special song for me because I tried to express a very deep topic... As you know I'm from Switzerland, and Celtic culture has its birthplace right around this region, in the center of Europe. My country has therefore been inhabited by Celts for millennia, most notably the Helvetii. Sometimes when I walk through forests or mountains here I get this very powerful thought inside my head that my ancestors have seen the same forests and mountains 3'000 years ago. I don't really know how to describe why this thought touches me so deeply, but it does. I find it incredible that the eyes of an ancestor from 3 millennia in the past have seen the same mountains and lakes as I do now, and I often wonder how they thought and felt and lived. Celtic culture has now been a big part of my life for years and through all the songs that I make I constantly try to come closer to understand them - and ultimately to understand who I am and where I came from.
Anyway, thank you for reading my monologue, I know this probably means much more to me than to you, but I really wanted to share this. =)

Usage rights - please read: I’m posting the usage rights and important information about my music right here in a comment on every new video so that they’re easily accessible to everyone. =) USAGE: If your project (any project at all, movie, photography, websites, live shows etc.) is non-commercial, which means it doesn't earn you any money, then you can use my music for free. Only given credits are necessary, that's the only condition. Credits would be totally fine as a small text in the movie, website etc. written "Music by Adrian von Ziegler". In live shows and other projects where including a text would be difficult, an oral mention would suffice as well. =) On KZfaq and twitch you can also use my music for free even if you monetize your videos by the way! ANY school projects have automatic free permission to use my music, no license payment is required. If the project is commercial, meaning it makes money in any way (except KZfaq and twitch, see above), you would have to buy a license for the music you want to use. The license payment would be small in almost all cases except for big budget productions. It would be a one-time payment, so you can use the music you bought forever in that project. It does not give you any rights over the music however, so remixing the music, re-selling it etc. is not allowed. Giving credits is also necessary in commercial projects. Please note that "for free" only applies to the usage license. Music is my full-time job and is where 100% of my earnings come from. So no matter what you use my music for, whether it's commercial or non-commercial use, I appreciate that you purchase the music instead of downloading it for free. Many people misunderstand this part so I need to clear this up. I love making music, but if everyone would just get it for free I would not be able to pay rent, so please understand. It was always my dream to make enough money to survive with music being my only job, and that is only possible because of people who go and buy that music. Remixing, sampling and other forms of altering the original song into a new piece of music is also generally not allowed unless the remix is 100% non-commercial and labelled with the original title and author of the song (me). Adding bird noises, nature sounds or similar things are allowed. Nightcore alterations are also allowed while non-commercial and labelled with original title and author (Google "Nightcore" in case of confusion). So if your project is non-commercial or a KZfaq project, just give credits and there is nothing holding you back from using my songs. ANY song you want. =) If it's commercial stuff just write me a personal message or an email at adrianvonziegler@gmx.ch and inform me about the scale and details of the project and we'll make a deal. REQUESTED MUSIC: I have recently made a very good experience with collaborating with other artists and am now - carefully - open to requests. Please note before sending me a request that any agreement will have to assure me a high level of control and independence over the composing process and certain copy- and intellectual rights over any composition that has been created on request (this entails for example that I can still upload and sell any music that I composed for a given project). Important: I do not allow my music to be used in any project that has a clear political, racist or discriminatory message or is pornographic. By that I mean anything that goes from direct political, racist or discriminatory videos or underlining speeches with my music, onto remixing my melodies into a song that has lyrics with clear political, racist or discriminatory message and similar things that clearly promote these things. Same goes for explicit pornography. Media with nude art is allowed, if not pornographic in nature and purpose. I hope you're having an awesome day, and thanks a lot for being interested in my music! =)

Adrian, this music not only tranported me to the days of my ancestors, but I could SEE it in my mind's eye. Thank you for sharing your immense gift with the world!

One Navy veteran to another, I understand completely. Seems like everyone I served with (who are still alive) have all been touched by ol' Arther, myself included. My ancestry is primarily Irish and Norse, and this piece--like many others in the "epic" genre--will likely bring about some inspiration for a scene in one of my novels. I can feel it. I've given credit to several musicians and/or composers already for their works having inspired scenes in my stories. Hoo-yah!

As a child of the Celtic diaspora, here in North America/Turtle Island, we were sent far away from our ancestral roots to grow, settle and thrive elsewhere in the world. I have grown up with a mix of Scottish ancestral music and First Nation traditional drums and songs. We are the life lines of our ancestors and the 7 generations to come. I still sometimes feel like a wandering spirit but your music and the drums of my local elders are guides to deeper reflection on what ancestry and belonging means. Thx for the music.

Whether it's Norse, Germanic, Celtic or pre roman briton that runs through my veins, I feel a deep connection to the british isles, to the nature, it's history, its cultures and therefore this kind of music. It brings a deep focus and content to the soul, like I'm at peace, where i should be, and I have found my true nature. To return to this simple way of life and to disappear into the forests and live free once more. Connected.

It seems to help me part the veil between this world and the world of our ancestors, to be able to commune with my beloved Grandmother, who taught and showed me so many of the Old Ways, as she used to call it. Wishing you a blessed Samhain, Dearthair. From North Carolina, USA🇺🇸 ⛤Blessed Be⛤

I precise that i'm not an Asatru at all. To my opinion Asatru is a wrong way, it's a religion, like christianism or islam. There is rules, prayers ect ... Paganism is different, it's a spirituality of freedom, tradition and philosophia. No rules, no good, just respect and beauty. But I don't blamed you, it's always better than monotheism or atheism ...

What is the reason makes you think that there is an afterlife, and by accident adrians music playing and you can walk into a forest? it has barely any chance as its created by your own creativity, if i'd think that afterlife is like big flappy unicorns dancing on rainbowns and i can watch them on a big flying mosquito all day and all night, would that seen likely? its the same as the other guy thinks afterlife will became like this, you can propose anything and that will have a chance of 1:infinity .

Bob I don't believe that there will be random music in a forest in afterlife, but I believe in the afterlife just like I believe there is a small chance it doesn't exist at all. There's nothing wrong with that and if you believe it's full of rainbows, then so be it. No one knows if it exists or not

Dear Adrian I read your monologue and i just want you to know that i feel the same thing as you. Every time i walk on a landscape, i can't unthink myself that maybe from millenia ago, my ancestors were seeing that same landscape that im seeing now. Thats why im in love with your music, because everytime you put a music on youtube, there is always a part of the world in it, a part of history, and a soul who lived so many lives. Like a human, man or woman, who can see his other past life. through my eyes, i can see what my ancestors saw on that landscape. and maybe it was me then. we dont know XD. but I digress of what i was saying. i hope you read this. i know you read a lot of ''Love letters'', if i write you, its simply because i understand you and im sharing you thought that i found so beautiful and you put it into music, its an appreciation that im sharing, and once again, im in love with that piece. That said it saddens me that people these days don't even know about their own culture and instead just obsess with copying Modern America whose culture revolves around greed, discrimination and war. I just find that attitude very sad and foolish. Now we live in a world where being different and kind is seen as evil, where racist a*$£holes try to make you into someone your not if you don't follow their beliefs.

My eyes are literally watering. I do not know how to express it at the moment. I'm not getting enough sleep because of depression and anxiety, listening to it is such a great relief. Sad how we're missing on such simple and beautiful things available in nature.

I am an Irish Gael, with my ancestry being 99.3% Celtic and a pure bloodline since this music touches my soul. Makes me more patriot than ever and a bit sadden by the state our Europe is in now, i believe our ancestors are always within us and will be by our side when the time comes. To all my fellow mainland celts and those in the UK, Wales & Scotland I love you all, long live the Celtic breed!

Feel so drawn to this music. I'm a SA Hindu Asian and this music has the callings of the past ancient times I somehow feel like I belong in those times. Beautifully composed. Shout out to all Celtic believers

My ancestors came from many different European peoples, including the Anglo-Saxons and the Norse, but I know that a significant portion of them were also Celtic. I suppose that might be part of why I find this music powerful. Thank you once again, Adrian.

You should not think that these thoughts mean more to you than us. Your beautiful music is best evidence of your thoughts and makes us understand your thoughts. it sets your listeners in that same feeling you are trying to communicate. Thats what happens when music works...it speaks even louder where words end. My language becoming some kind of poetic is best proof of your music settling on my mind. Be proud of yourself and walk further on your path as it is a good path.

I had a dream yesterday... I was wandering around in a magestic forest, and the forest began to get thicker and more and more trees were spawning closer and closer till I got killed by squishing inside the woods. It felt good and nostalgic,... I woke up crying

This is the music I listen to while out in the forest, the history, the emotion, the absolute immersion of nature entering my soul with this song hits me to the very bottom of my heart... anyone else feel the same? Anyone else want to have a quest? A true adventure? A journey of loss and fulfillment is what I yearn for when I listen to this.... to our ancestors!!!

It's so beautiful to see the others comments about how they feel so connected with their ancestors. But when it comes to me, I just feel like a lost, broken child that has been abandoned in the woods and forgotten... I don't feel any strings connected to my history. My family were migrants who traveled from today's south Germany and west Polen to russia and back. Some also traveled to canada and stayed there. But I was born into this land into a family without any roots or stability. There's so much broken about my inner child, so when I close my eyes I just feel a pair of arms around me that hold me close and I like to believe that it's the baby my mother lost before she got me. I have half sister but no "real" siblings, so this angel sibling is the only string that belongs to me. I like to think that this angel sibling is watching over me and being my guardian angel... I need this hope to stay alive...

All hail the Celts!!! This music is truly magnificent, stirring and exquisite. The sounds of the bagpipes used to be kind of eerie and used to scare me . But when it’s blended with other music it’s awesome. I love your music, stirs up my soul, and the rising Celtic influences flowing through my veins. Celtic Rising!!
