this was when Celtic Woman were at there best. i’ve been in love with them since i was 4 years old. i was 4 YEARS OLD when i chose to listen to them. i even went to their concert in a Princess Belle gown and called it my “Celtic Woman Dress” and i knew almost all the lyrics, and I’m from Florida, USA. I’ve listened to their newer music, but nothing could ever top this performance👏👏😭❤️

No matter who performs for the Celtic women, they all sing like angels, not to mention they are all beautiful and immensely talented. God has given us many earthly gifts to enjoy, but they are just a small sample of what comes after. I too am a rock and roller and when I stumbled across these earthly angels, I realized that I loved more than one genre of music. I had the pleasure of seeing them once in concert and was not disappointed.

For me this group of Celtic Women was the best. I especially liked to listen to Chloe sing. Her voice was oh so sweet. This is not to say that any of the other Celtic Women in the group were lesser sopranos. I liked them all individually and when they sang together. I hope they were all able to move onto bigger and better singing, even operatic careers. I also loved to watch the diminutive violinist, Mairead. She's what I imagined a woodland sprite would be like, so lively, exuberant, and filled with the joy of the music she played. It was always amazing that she could dance, hop, skip, and prance around in her high heels and long flowing gowns, while playing flawlessly on her violin ... and smiling or laughing all the while. She truly brought her playing to life.

I feel this is where Celtic Woman peaked, where they were at their very best. Everything, from the atmosphere to the arrangement, to the camera work, was just perfect. I just wish they could be great like this again.
@galwayj69919 жыл бұрын
WirelessKnobs It's just really sad to see how this group has faded the past three years or so, when they should still be going just as strong. I suppose that can be blamed on a combination of terrible management, constant change in the lineup, and the resulting lack of interest from the casual crowd. I love the current girls, especially Lisa Lambe, but as far as an ENTIRE show, they're not even close to what they were in 2006-2007. In my honest opinion, "Songs From the Heart" was really the last great Celtic Woman show.
@hayleyfell10209 жыл бұрын
John Ashe I suppose you are correct. I prefer the original Celtic Woman to the new ones. The new ones don't seemed to have the same spirit as the original ones.
@galwayj69919 жыл бұрын
hayley fell I'm glad you feel the same way hayley. I want more than anything to like the new show as much as this one, to experience that same awe and magic, but I can't. It's just not there anymore
@galwayj69919 жыл бұрын
***** Of course, the new members are immensely talented and beautiful, but as entire production, Celtic Woman today does not even compare to the Celtic Woman of 2006. I think very, very few would disagree with you about getting all the former members together again. Even for just one show.
@donevans98475 жыл бұрын
In my opinion, the difference is David Downs. My favorite album was the Emerald album. All the girls are talented and beautiful. Todays lineup has all the talent of the originals. But without the big productions David created, the girls are really on their own. Even Ray Fean, the drummer only has token appearances. Ray, Nikki Bailey and Andy Reilly brought a lot of great percussion sounds to Celtic Woman. If I had to choose my favorite lady, it would be a tie between about ten of them. We all have our favorites but it was the middle years that set Billboard International records and the current lineup with Eabha, Susan, Mairaid and Tara are packing them in at all concerts.

Most of the music I like can be played on a porch or coffee house, but this is something special. The pretty girls, beautiful costumes, orchestra, surroundings, chorus. Really special. I think the first several DVDs are really great. I have not enjoyed the later albums quite as much, but that is a matter of taste. There are a lot of great woman singers like Karen Matheson, Mary Black, Robyn Stapleton, Cherish the Ladies and many others. And of course they are still going strong, so there is still a lot of Celtic women singers to enjoy. But this DVD has a lot of glamour and of course the wealth of sounds, moods and imagery is very memorable.
