IIRC they've used the same format joke for other Walken SNL skits, maybe more than one other, which makes me think it may be a joke he uses IRL.

I like how Walken reads the lines off the cards as if he’s barely aware of the meaning of what he’s saying.

Writer of this sketch probably had many of these questions he or she wanted to ask. And what better way to answer them than in an interview? For a very professional job. So simple yet so clever. And the fact that Christopher Walken was the interviewer was just perfect.

I don’t know if you’re old enough to remember a time when Christopher Walken (and Leslie Nielsen, for that matter) were dramatic actors who you never would have guessed would turn into goofballs relatively late in life.

Chris Parnell was really one of the best SNL cast members of all time. I don’t think I ever saw him break once, and his delivery was consistent with each character.

Parnell was one of those “role players” who made the show work. The secret sauce of good SNL skits is the performer who can just act and play the straight role. That’s what made Hartman and Nealon so deadly, and made Farley or Myers that much funnier as a result.

The way his tail kept flipping around made me laugh extra hard - "there's a store, like a centaur Crate & Barrell..." they just had no idea where the sketch was going when they wrote it and threw in the ass wiping bit

I have always spelled it 'ogbesian' as that seems the most sorta whimsical fantasy spelling of course what's funny is they're not aware a horse's rectum needs no wiping because it does like a ketchup bottle.
