Crystal and Abby are incredibly underrated. Becky is underappreciated too, but I think everyone knows how great she is by now. If you ask me, the national team absolutely needs the following players: Dunn, Dahlkemper, Ertz, Lavelle, Sauerbrunn. As long as they have those core defenders and midfielders, they won't stop winning. The rest, while great, are interchangeable.

Sauerbrunn is one of the all-time greats. But time is undefeated so it will be interesting to see who steps up next at centerback for the USWNT.

3:38 You can legit feel the pain in Becky's voice when Abby said she was 15 when Becks made her USWNT debut in 2008. She was like "God, I feel old now". And just like Abby, I hadn't realized that Becky was actually in her mid 30s already.

Oh yea. Setting a newly broken nose on the sideline hurts a lot. As a GK, I recall getting hit square in the face with a ball right at the half. Next thing I remember is being on the sideline with the coach and smelling salts, seeing stars for a time. My jersey was full of blood and coach was asking me to count his fingers. I sat up and he told me he was going to straighten my nose. More stars.... at the start of the second half he wanted to sub me but I just ran out onto the pitch and finished the match. I played with a nasty headache.

I love these girls, Becky rocks, but her and Kelly are getting to old for this team. Time for the new regime to take over and step up. I think both Kelly and Becky could be great coaches in the near future, that aging process and reality has to be hard though after playing elite for so long.

You can’t compare men’s and women’s players, they play two different games. That’s like comparing snowboarders to skiers. In the women’s game Becky and Abby are some of the best defenders and in the men’s game Brooks and Miazga don’t even come close
