The Gun Kunte

The Gun Kunte

Күн бұрын

After taking the Century Arms “Centurion BP12” out for the first time, Im taking it apart to see if the same wear from shooting this shotgun has taken place on my firearm as it has with others I have seen online.
Check out “American Defender” here on youtube. He was the first and only channel that had a takedown video of this shotgun which helped me along.
This is part 1 of the disassembly.
The videos are what they are, I film them how I want, I talk how I want, I ramble how I want. It is free content, enjoy them as such. If you have any legitimate questions about the shotgun, leave them below in the comments and I will try to get back to you.
I DO NOT sell anything. I am not an FFL. Nothing seen in these videos is for sale.

Nobody has once mentioned how the choke key included with the gun is a multi tool that acts as the screwdriver since the fasteners included with the gun are too wide of grooves. The tube cap also has a driver on it to use as the back holding piece. I was eyeballing mine the day I got it trying to figure out why the kit had nothing with it but it was quick to figure out.

Could you use the seating lip of a shell to undo the fasteners?

Oh my God thank you. How do you get that screw cap off?

@@justjuan589 probably would just sheer the lip off the shell but it's worth a try.

GREAT advice & tip starting at 7:00 about only using the bolt-release lever sparingly, use the charging handle instead. I've noticed others struggling with this lever on other videos. Rack it!

Just got my BP 12 late last week. Haven’t had a chance to break it down to clean all the cosmoline off. I was told to use very hot water and some dawn dish soap. Maybe even some simple Greene. Definitely use CLP to lube all the other parts once you get everything cleaned.

Just to let you know if you need a carry bag for your bullpup. Try a tennis racket bag. I had one laying around and tried it. Fit like it was made for it. Plus it has extra pockets for mags or tools or whatever. And it has a long shoulder strap and a small carry strap.

@Jerry Van Well Jerry, in this 3 part series I literally only take out 3 pins in this video.. its broken up into 3 sections and I literally take this BP12 apart on camera step by step.. your comment makes no sense as I show it all over 3 videos. I guess we can’t all make a bunch of “youtube shorts” of garage engine projects where even you have poor lighting, bad angles and you fail to explain anything. It is free content Jerry, if you want to venmo or paypal me, I can certainly get a laptop, hire a film crew and tailor content just for you? Would that make you feel special Jerry? Otherwise, keep your old Ford salesman mouth shut. 😘

Where did you get the piece that goes on the charging handle??
@terryakins9841
@terryakins9841 2 жыл бұрын
I just used shoe glue to glue the rubber piece onto the charging handle it's easier to grab hold of and it's a lot more comfortable on the hand it works very well

I’d probably get a vacuum tube as used on AKs. The rubber on this particular cover is a bit too large and awkward. But if your solution worked for you then great! That’s the best part about the firearms community, lots of folks out there figuring stuff out and making things work for them. Thank you for watching.

Information-wise, this series of 3 videos is good. The only issue I have with it is the language. [I'm not a prude, but...] I often rely partly on videos to supplement my teaching. [I have spent over 50 years shooting & teaching with the NRA and the Boy Scouts.] his would not be one I would use for them; however, as I stated earlier, it was very useful with the information and the presentation.

To each their own man. I’m not an NRA instructor, I don’t get paid for this. I’m simply a dude showing folks this terribly built shotgun. I suppose if you wanted to pay me I could make a video meeting all your expectations? Thanks for watching.

Oh don’t buy this shotgun. I had mine fully replaced twice. Poor metals, poor design. While it functioned well, was affordable and looked cool, ultimately it destroys itself. Best of luck and thank you for watching.

After my experiences, I’ll never buy a Turkish shotgun again. Most are made in the same factory. Alder Arms is an air gun manufacturer. While this shotgun ran alright and looks cool.. it was absolute junk. Best of luck in your hunt for a shotgun and thank you for watching.
