The game wasn't ever really dead. This past June, we got a netcode update, as well as new colors and a new stage for free.

The tutorials are extremely helpful for beginners, the game obviously gets super complicated at high levels but its more accessible than you might think

There's currently a 70% on it and all its DLCs. I'm also thinking about picking it up

the servers are still up and active. just get used to losing a lot. but beginners like me still visit a lot and not hard to find a good fight.

​@@hazardousjazzgasm129 the tutorials are awesome and pretty much teach anyone just starting in fighters better than any other game or person can teach you on how to do these ridiculous combos. no joke. step by step and does it like no other fighter out there. pretty solid entry title into fighters if youre not intimidated. as accessible as it gets into standard fighters. ps theres no long cut scenes to sit through, no locked tutorial bits, its all there for you to use and learn to play all fighting games, not just skullgirls. pss i love this game even tho im bad.

@@888legends I completely agree, the things you learn in that tutorial aren't just specific controls or combos, but fundamental aspects like blocking and footsies that can be applied to just about any fighting game. Definitely one of the best tutorials I've ever seen in any game, fighting game or otherwise

To be clear Lab Zero haven't said anything about an SG2, in fact, Autumn games (the publisher and rights holders for SG) haven't paid L0 their royalties for SG so unless that is resolved there is little chance of an SG2 anytime soon. Everyone should still try out and support Indivisible and Lab Zero though, it is shaping up to be a great game all on its own.

Lol And you’re absolutely right, people do need to pick up Indivisible as well as Skullgirls if they haven’t picked that up yet as well.

there the only people that still play this game. its been reduced to a usual suspects melee-esque top 8 every year. what a shame. this game had so much potential

wayvs they’re definitely not the only players that play this game. There’s a ton of monsters but these guys are just so good. There are a ton of amazing names that you won’t get to see because most tourneys only stream top 8. Every skullgirls pool is considered a death pool because the skill ceiling is just so high. Top 24 is filled with talented players

@@wingsofruinI'm just able to convert a launcher from the ground back down without dropping with Peacock and it's miles more fun than what I was doing in smash. I hope the switch can connect to other devices if I ever get comfortable enough to play online. Just slowing down the game in training is interesting to since this game applies the rules of animation phenomenally

Though tbf, if someone hasn't watched in a reeeeaally long time, they might remember the days when Duckator, Elda Taluda, and Sonicfox were still going back and forth a little bit in sets. After Sonic's first major loss to Dekillsage though, who kinda came out of nowhere, that's when the real serious grinding started.

Robo struggles when she's out but she has the best assist to work with

Most people find her the worst in the entire game, Bella is top tier.

Development is done, so no new characters. in terms of Balance, things are okay on that front as well. certain characters and teams are stronger than others, but you can make pretty much anything work in this game.

There are more characters coming 4 in total for the season pass with the first character being annie

Not that kind of game. MK, Tekken, SoulCalibur and VF/DoA have prebaked Target combos with specific animations that you HAVE to do because the game is restrictive with cancels. SG lets you cancel basically anything into anything as long as the next attack is the same power or stronger (excluding special -> special and super -> super (if you only have one character)). So a basic combo is Lp,Lk,Mp,Mk,Hk,c.Hp,Jump cancel,Light,Medium,special,super

Smaller teams get bonuses to compensate. In general, larger teams get more HP while smaller teams deal more damage. Playing with a smaller team is riskier, but if done right can tear through larger teams super easily

When you choose your character you have a choice to have 1, 2, or 3 character it in a menu on the character select screen

If you choose 1 or 2 instead of 3, your character will be buffed accordingly
