Ok so i put it in vinegar water for 24 hours,they are almost all gone

Put the hot water that has just boiled and pour it into the top tank, the pressure from the hot water is very helpful in launching the filtration process at the beginning, repeat the cycle several times, surely after this it will definitely be easier that the filtration that will happen

Francisco Díaz: The side of the filter that touches the water that’s not yet treated is the side that needs cleaning. So as long as you have it mounted such that the dome is upright, so the outside is the part in contact with water, It’ll be possible to clean it well like this. The inside will only ever have touched clean water. If you were a person who boils (then cools)the water before putting it through the filter, There probably won’t be much in the way of colonization happening on the outside. You’ll get a lot longer out of your unit that way. If you save your old filter, once you’ve scrubbed it to the point where it’s only filtering out big particles, and the water is running through it kind of quickly, you could stack another level on top of your new filter, so that you’ve got a pre-filtration unit. This will help you get a little more time out of the newer filter. Once your filter is clean and dry, many people say that they paint a light coat of colloidal silver onto the ceramic and let that dry. That apparently prevents colonization of bacteria and algae onto the unit as well. It’s also supposed to be good against viral and retroviral particles. I haven’t done the microbiological testing on them myself, so This comment is being offered so that you could check it out for yourself and possibly get a little more time from your units. I don’t know if these filters are safe to boil for disinfection purposes or not. The one that I have is, but it’s a different type. I just left a comment there in the hopes that the company who made the video will come back with a response.

@@daphneraven6745 Following my initial comment: I let water run through the filter and then discarted it about 3 times before drinking and that greatly diminished the ceramic taste... the rest of the taste decreased fairly quickly. 👌 Also, I don't boil my water before pouring it into the system and with regards to cleaning, I clean the ceramic dome once it slows its filtering speed up to about twice the time. The rest, I clean it once every 6 weeks... Keep in mind all these things vary depending on the owner's usage, initial water quality... etc.

@@franciscodiaz6197 : Thank you very much for that very important follow up. A lot of filters need pre-soaking before they can do the job really nicely. And then, usually a certain quantity of water has to filter through them. But Idk if that’s true of all filters. Your experimentation makes a strong case for doing that with these filters.

The life of the Ceramic Dome filter is roughly 6 - 9 months.

There’s a filter that looks very similar to that on Amazon. Vendors give the measurements of the unit on Amazon, so you could use that to assess whether or not this other filter would fit your unit. I sure hope that helps you. :-)
