Welcome to this #039 video which is the 1st part of 3 videos that will take us from #irun to #madrid .
Today we are in Irun a few meters from the border with France and today we will try to reach Madrid.
We will take a cercanías to get to San Sebastian where a Medium Distance to Palencia is waiting for us.
Some people consider the cercanías the best commuter in #Europe , but will it be true ??
In Irun, I clashed with a system ( at the time of the video ) a bit crazy ... Renfe, to book with the interrail you have to physically go to the ticket office of the station and book them ( since the option to have them shipped takes 40 days ) ... with the risk of finding all the trains all booked by other travellers even the international trains for or to Spain work this way!
As luck would have it, I found a very kind girl at the ticket office who went out of her way to find me a solution ( complete with calls to San Sebastian ) !!!
