This cereal needs a comeback. Like so many other good classic cereals from the 80s.

I had a major love for this cereal as a kid. I can still taste it. There was never a better time to be a kid than the 80's.

Hands down my all time favorite cereal is smurf berry crunch.

My 2 oldest nephews were big Smurfs fans, (They had a dog named "Smurf"). I remember them eating Magic Berries cereal. Hard to believe they are both almost 40 years old!

I watched the Smurfs every Saturday morning when I was a kid, and when I had it I would eat the Cereal while watching the Smurfs. Man I haven't thought about Smurf-Berry Crunch in Years, I can still kind of remember what it tasted like..Thanks for bringing back some good ol' memories...

I got into big trouble when I put those rub-ons on a painting we had in our house, when I was 9. They weren't ordinary rub-ons. They practically became one with whatever you put them on. It was totally worth it!

Oh man, that original Smurf Berry cereal was my favorite as a kid! I tried many times finding a cereal that tasted similar but with no luck. I still distinctly remember the flavor (although I don’t remember blue poop).

The original Smurf Berry Crunch was my favorite cereal! From what I remember, the red and blue berry-shaped cereal had the consistency of the Cap'n Crunch squares and not the berries which had a harder, more sugary coating that sometimes tore the roof of your mouth. I remember the smurf berries being dark in color and having a very strong chemical/artificial berry smell-they were saturated in the berry flavor, and I loved it! One thing to note... most cereals based on cartoons were rip-offs of existing cereals, but the original cereal was unique. I don't quite remember Smurf Magic Berries but they don't look as appetizing and I was never a fan of little marshmallows (except for the ones in Boo Berry).

The contemporary Smurf Movie was just creepy. Never had any of the cereals, but your comparison makes me want a bowl of Fruity Pebbles.

Post Good Morenings Berry Loops was released a few years ago and tasted exactly like Smurf Berry Crunch... it was possibly the same recipe without the blue dye. Sadly it has since been discontinued as well.

I was one of the lucky few to have eaten this cereal as a kid. If anyone wants to try them now Captain crunch remade it called Cotton Candy crunch.

When I get rich some day I'm gonna buy out Post and re-make Smurfberry Crunch. When I got out of the Army I bought some because I thought they were cute and I liked Gargamel and Azrriel. My dad said "What do you have there?!" (As if to make fun of me for getting a kid's sugary cereal. as I sat there watching the Smurfs.) I said "Try some, you tell ME!" He bought it from then, on. I found a little plastic Gargamel creeping with Azriel stalking toy on the dashboard of his 4x4. His girlfriend got that for him because he had bragged that He loved watching the smurfs for them two while eating smurfberry crunch. She thought that was the cutest thing. He would say "Smurfette? - I did her." Bad man.

How do you always open boxes so perfectly, and with one hand? If I tried that, I'd end up ripping the box top in half. I always run a spoon under the lip to keep the tab and slot intact.

I think smurfs magic berry was from 1989, or sold up to. I have a tape I recorded of thundercats with ads and it was on there. I say 1989 because that tape also had the 100th anniversary special of the johnstown flood of 1889.

I was never into the Smurfs but my younger Sisters were and my Mom did buy the cereal. I remember eating it but I can't remember if I liked it or not but I'm sure that I did because Post usually does a good job. For example, Post Raisin Bran is better than Kellogg's Raisin Bran, in my opinion.

First i was confused why you had all the pebble boxes in the background (and that's were the damn you part kicks in, 'cause i found myself in an almost half an our research of all the interesting pebble varieties while i was midway through the video... -.-) but at the end everything was clear ^^ And i'm kinda surprised you really tried the cereal. Though you alöready replied to a comment from me which cereal holds better i never thought you would actually try an old rice cereal though the possibility of them not turning bad so fast is much higher ^^ I already wrote a lot, but i still have one question left: I'm not really a fan when it comes down to fruit cereal, but have to admit, that froot loops are the only fruit related cereal we have here in germany (alright we also have weetabox with banana and chocolate and with strawberry and vanilla; the banana chocolate ones are awesome btw!), so i can't really say i dislike fruit cereals in general. I asked Dan from cerealously already in the comments of his cap'n crunch homeruncrunch review, but he wasn't able to answer the question, 'cause pebbles isn't a cereal he really likes, so i kinda think i have to ask you: Since Dan already explained, that while froot loops are trying hard to get the "real fruit taste" and trix is doing a way better job (especially the new ones) getting it, crunchberries are more the reeses puffs under the fruit cereals (aka more oily ;)), he wasn't able to really provide an answer to the question were pebbles fall in... so... are pebbles compareable to any kind of the above mentioned cereals and if so how? I'm just curious, cause i love coco pops aka cocoa krispies a lot because of it's rice base and i alsways wanted to try rice flakes, but was never sure if i should go for the classic ones or the much safer cocoa version ^^

I'm a missionary in Ukraine, and many years back, a visiting American team brought boxes of Froot Loops (I think) for the missionary kids in the organization. Shortly after, there was a small panic when all the kids poops were blue. They thought there was a mysterious contagious disease but they eventually figured out it was the cereal. The Ukrainian families refused to eat it after that.
