I wish we got more creative cereals like this nowadays

That was a good cereal, I wish they'd still make it.

This cereal was ahead of its time and very good.

I remember that cartoon use to come on saturday mornings & I use to watch it.

In the second Ghostbusters movie the scary part was when Egon, Winston, & Ray were in that old abandoned Subway tunnel looking for that river of pink slime & that scary voice called Winston's name & then those heads on sticks appeared all around them.

I remember my sister buying this for her 2 boys... The first morning, they ate it like it was going out of style! The next day, they didn't want it anymore... I never tried it, so I don't know what it tasted like.

Glow in the dark Ghostbusters box! Man that was tight.

I never tried the cereal. However, I often sing "Frank Welker" to the "Ghostbusters" theme.

FINALLY!!! And it was worth the wait. This was possibly my all time favorite cereal and I would love if General Mills would do a reboot with that thing they are calling a remake comes out. I mention GM because from what I read, GM purchased everything when it comes to cereal from Ralston but obviously the rights of using Ghostbusters is totally different but I'm sure GM has the formula somewhere locked away. We all know it would do very well if they did in fact release it again. The only thing that came close to tasting it again was Yummy Mummy when it came back out back in 2013. Obviously not exactly like it but close. Great video.

Keep in mind, just because a company is out of business, doesn't mean you can't get a re-boot. When companies collapse, they are usually sold, so some company owns the rights to the recipes for Ralston products. It happened with Hostess, after they went under. Granted, there's a lot more Twinkie fans than Ghostbusters cereal fans, but theoretically, it could happen!

Too bad we never got this cereal again, but at least Ecto Cooler made a long awaited ever so brief comeback though! ;)

Great cereal and I remember the frisbee. Have you done a Strawberry Shortcake cereal episode? I swear that cereal caused me to break out in hives as a kid. It's the only food I tell people I am allergic to.

I never had any of GB cereals before, I was on sugar restrictions at that time,meaning I cant have sugar, so I never ate it No, cereal for promo for 2016 film but never made it but it did make the Hi-C Ecto Cooler comeback, lime Twinkies, you remembered them? both ran only for that year until the film done in theatres

Hoping for a new Ghostbusters as well. Fingers crossed. I was sick last week and had some crazy mid-day cereal dreams one afternoon. I was walking thru the store and found a "hidden" aisle with a bunch of weird item on them. On one of the upper shelves labeled 'overstock', I discovered a couple cereal boxes. Upon further investigation, I found more. Discoveries included: A Pink Panther themed cereal that was boxed in a cube instead of the regular rectangular cereal boxes, a collaboration between Sonny & the Trix Rabbit that also came with a record of them singing their new theme song for whatever this cereal was called, and a St. Patrick's Day/Monster cereal crossover with a zombie Lucky the leprechaun. Of course there was more, but those are the most interesting I remember. Don't mean to bore you with dreams, just thought it was kinda funny. I really want a cereal to come in a cube shaped box now!

With all of the licensing (the name, using the GB's song in the commercials), holograms and glow-in-the-dark boxes (not to mention the Porsche giveaway), this must have been one of the priciest cereals of all time. Either that or their margins were virtually nonexistent.
