dude I've owned a sundown Clone patrick build for the pass 3 years no problems at all still pounds like new. my brother in-law owns an 18 he made. shit flexes the roof. my brother my pops and a couple of my buddy's own robot underground subs and we have never had a problem. keep doing what you do patrick. fuck the haters

The people who are hating on your work are the same idiots that keep trying claim their amps are actually producing 5000 to 10,000 watts from a $250-300 amp. The true fans know the truth, you produce great products for great prices and teach people extremely valuable information. I have a pair of older mtx 12s I think one is blown they stunk a little bit and we’re not as loud one day. I was making shit tons of money and went with a pair of Rockford p3 from my local shop. They weren’t nearly as loud I have a new amp now with more watts but I swear it was louder with the mtx or at least they made my windows and rear view rattle a lot more vs the new Rockford.

You do need to break in subwoofers. It's not so much the suspension but the heat to the coil. The coil straight out of the box will fail many times if high heat[or loud volumes of long period of time] is applied right at the beginning. But by applying power in "waves" for medium time the ability to withstand heat from the coil is lengthened... this was hard to word in text but I could explain better verbally. Parker blew his woofer because of coil abuse.

Not true. The coil is solid state. It's just a coil.

The voice coil is what fails in most cases... not the surround/spider when were talking about higher rms

Nonetheless still good video and always respect. I still think the heating of the coil and the build shops choice in materials is where the break in counts

The speed and lapse of time that you take to heat the coil to its maximum thermal peak, if that's a slow and steady breaking time the woofer will last longer than taking it to full filt on first play. I think going hard with no break in presents a higher risk of coil failure. I'm trying to type this observational synopsis up, even if I am wrong lol

Direct leads are BS. They don't do anything to improve performance. I don't like them when dealing with them in a box. If you have direct leads, you shouldn't have a box terminal anyway. #MeltCity

The Stroker has a bigger magnet. The new T5 is the same as the old SPLX. Or, I can build you something even bigger that's actually made in USA.

Lol im guessing you decided to do full recone because you didn't cover center and got shit down there or you grinded the dam wires plus waiting for you to get to anything was like watching paint dry good video if u would get to the point

Lol.. I still think my videos get to the point quicker than others. I wanted to show that sometimes things don't work out. The grinding was just taking too long. I did another one with a Sundown where I only changed out the cone.

I’m having no luck finding anything for a 2013 Nissan Frontier extended cab. Do you make a sub that would work well in it and possibly somehow not lose the two fold down half seats? Every shop where I live is only wanting to get rid of the seats.

I get it just basically was trying to think of something to go in the middle of the two seats and extend to the console, that way on either side they could still be able to seat someone. I don’t know if you do boxes but I know it would be a custom job because I’ve had custom work done before. I was just hoping you had a sub in mind that maybe doesn’t require a ton of airspace. That way I could buy the sub or subs from you and hopefully somewhere around here could build a box between there. The only place I’ve ever seen do anything like that is Pro Audio Center In Richland MS . I just really admire your builds and thought there may be an idea out there.

In many cases, yes. It's just to make the customer feel better. Sundown and Concept both did this with the 6 spoke 18" frame. They use a 10" spider on top to make people think it's going to use it, but underneath is an 8" spider doing the real control.
