Thanks! I was shocked that I received it in that great of condition as-is. My plan is to try and get those entry-level Stevens comics in 9.8s and then work my way up to his bigger keys like Planet Comics and Space Vixens.

Thanks! After having done several of these, I think it makes the most sense to only send moderns in through this process, specifically books released in the last 5-8 years. I get caught up in the emotion of being almost certain that my older book is a 9.8, but it really should be part of a separate submission.

Just dropped by your channel this late evening. I enjoy your relaxed and incisive take on your submissions. I will be sending in some 70's Marvel to CGC in a couple of weeks. I do have some "virgin cover" variants I'm considering to send. I was glad to get a 9.8 on a Vampirella Artgerm acetate cover from 2019. That one's staying in my personal collection. I'll take a look at your other videos. Continued good luck with all your future submissions.

@@MoneyballComics I personally do not agree with the practice. I submit all my comic books as is. I will update down the road.

Do you consider long-term value for desirable modern books? In other words, is there a criteria for letting a slabbed 9.6 to 9.2 Adam Hughes cover (for example) take up space in your collection?

I think it depends. My expectations are very high, and have a number of 9.4s and 9.6s that I'm just keeping raw. Even if it's Hughes and we can use Alice Never After 2 Full Art Incentive as an example as I FOMO'd over this one hard and missed it during preorder (yes it's available now, but very expensive). Even though I love that one, I don't want it in a CGC 9.4. There's just something about the brand new books that I have to have in a 9.8 otherwise I don't want/need it professionally graded and am happy to have raw copies. Now, over time, let's say Catwoman 51 by Hughes? Yes, I'd take that in a 9.0, 9.2, or 9.4 as an affordable way to own it, but that cover is ridiculously recognizable now.
