Well he is a first class SOLDIER. The other 1st class before him were big enemy bosses so, he's probably on that level too. As for Cloud, he isn't really 1st class. But he does get stronger with every tragedy he goes through just as what Sephiroth mentioned in FF7R.

I will forever die on the hill that genesis was right hes just a bitch by nature. Shinra screwed all of them over so bad but sephiroth is the one that decided he needed to rule the world meanwhile genesis just wanted his fucking friends back and to not die a miserable rotting death. It's bad enough angeal kills himself and im pretty sure he was 90% of the impulse control between gen and seph. Poor zack is thrown into this madness and expected to take on the mantle of angeal. And despite everything gen isnt a villain by the end of the game the creators even recently said the secret ending in DoC isnt meant to be malicious on gens part proving if he does come back it wont be as an enemy. He got his honor back by the end of crisis core. Gen is one of those characters i love to shit talk but i will fight to defend his character.

It supposed to be an cameo in the original and a younger self. They didn't fix anything but instead did it because they added him in intergrade. So it's not a fix. A change instead

It is very likely that he will appear in FF7 Rebirth. Weiss and Nero were already introduced in the 7 Remake dlc. Not to mention that this Crisis Core Reunion came out just now, because since the 7 remake, there are traces of time travel, and the Rebirth trailer already starts showing the past, so it is very likely that Genesis will appear again.

@@staullerfair5458 So, Square enix idea with this Remake of 7 is precisely to fit in all these characters that were left out and only appeared through standalone games, like Weiss and Nero, and be fitted in the main game. If I'm not mistaken, they recently said this in an interview. And the supposed time travel that Sephiroth did is increasingly being reinforced by Square enix itself, which will make characters who have already died appear again, as Sephiroth is changing the timeline. So we're certainly going to see all those Crisis core characters back. About Dirge of Cerberus. They said they have no plans for the game. But I believe they will do a remake or something in the future.

It was actually stated that Weiss and Nero retrieve Genesis in the original, hence why he appears at the end of Dirdge of Cerberus, but yeah they made it more obvious to identify them, as oppose to the original where they had a standard SOLDIER first class model.

I should have placed dirge of Cerberus in there however as it does fill a decent gap of knowledge. Just not many people, only hardcore fans have actually played through dirge while the lessers seem to have played/viewed the others

Zack is a downgrade, Genesis was also better in OG, but its not a huge problem. Still better than that lackluster OG (referring to the awful combat thanks to these DBM interruptions)

He was for reasons unknown moved to a secret underground lair and kept in stasis Zack only wanted to save Genesis, and left him there thinking he'd get back up and leave

Can definitely appreciate previous voice actor more than this new one. Sound monotone now and the old voice actor had more emotion and energy in his voice, at least to me.

@@HyperLXD only way u can be over leveled is beating all the missions. u really think the user did all those missions that fast? ur level does not determine the new battle system. the new system breaks the game. dodge and block are free now and u can store dmws. storing dmws is what really breaks the game

I mean , FF7 Rebirth and Remake takes place after Crisis Core so Angeal would be dead and Genesis should be with Weiss. Genesis still has a chance to shine if they remake Dirge of Cerberus and maybe give it a dlc wrap his story

I think this was more of a remaster to not only test future battle mechanics but also get people reacquainted with Zach since he was brought back for remake.
