FF7 would have had Zack as the main character if he woke up Vincent and many of events changed for the better. Cloud would ultimately be weaker but end up with a better mindstate and have a great trainer, progress will be slower but his overall potential might be greater with bonds and mentor. He would be more emotional and mentally open with team making Tifa lot more happier. Would overall be a stronger team however in the end run.

To be fair, FF7 might not have happened at all as Vincent would be able to explain to Sephiroth his origins, how he was born to an actual human mother and isn't a monster, Sephiroth wouldn't go crazy, and they'd all happily go kick Hojo in the balls. Now, if SEPHIROTH joined the Avalanche, Shinra would be in sooooo much trouble.

@@ChaoSTrophicS no-one reads fanfiction for it being 'canon' or 'real' they read it because it's a 'what if'. Or filling in gaps. For instance people wanted to know other things Zack did whilst training and such. I recall reading a story where he went for a date to a cafe with Aerith. Or what Cloud was doing. And so on. It's just for fun that's all.

It's actually proven, because wh n cloud anco step out of that portal and into that altered present, Zack busts in the door to Aerith's church like the Kool aid man to find it a refugee center from sector 7 coming down the way it did. And it shows him being shocked at it. If he wasn't alive and well in the new timeline, he never would've made it to midgar. Keep in mind CC is a remaster not a remake

@@paulo6456 Yeah, but remember that was a remaster, and with the timeline all kinds of fucked and Zack survived the ending of CC at the ending of remake part 1, anything can happen. The only reason why he died in the remake was to show why Zack is important in the first place for those that didn't get to play it back when it was a psp and ps Vita exclusive.

Honestly probably not, given it’s such a microscopic voice part, instead of bringing down the VA they just grabbed a staff member and threw them in the recording booth and told them to do a deep gravelly snore

I have a hunch that on the Remake there will be a Cloud vs Vincent Boss battle. Vincent will challenge Cloud to a duel before deciding to Join the party. Vincent will also use his Ghost-like Limit Break from the Movie during this fight.

Yup. When you come across that coffin back in the day it opens up and he wakes and floats in the air and does a flip and floats about a bit. Clearly here he was still sleeping and wondering how to make that grand entrance.

Vincent was one of the optional characters in the original ps1 FF7 game that you get on your team if you open his casket through a hidden method. That casket you see Zack open is the same one he was sleeping in the original FF7 game. (Crisis Core threw this scene in as a nod for classic FF7 fans) He became more of a significant character in the story when you progress with him on your team.
