"After 30 years of unremitting struggle by the people, Xiadang has become a place easily accessible by road with a brand new image, while local residents have a stronger sense of happiness and fulfillment, which vividly proves the old adage that weak birds take early flight, and constant dropping wears away a stone," Chinese President Xi Jinping wrote in a message to residents of Xiadang Township in August 2019, after hearing they had shaken off poverty.
Located deep in a mountainous area, Xiadang is the most remote township in Shouning County, Ningde Prefecture, east China's Fujian Province.
When Xi started his tenure as the Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Ningde Prefectural Committee in 1988, Xiadang was a poverty-stricken area with few resources - no paved roads, no tap water, little money and no office buildings.
Xi has made three visits to Xiadang, each of which has had a far-reaching impact on the township, helping the residents break through the mountainous obstacles and thrive. #zeropoverty #XiJinping

In more approving term of the contemporary English language: it's actually called PROMOTION / PROMOTIONAL / PUBLICATION (instead of Propaganda). I understand that in Chinese language, the word propaganda has different, positive meaning than in English. v: 宣传 n: 文宣 But in English, "propaganda" has negative sense. Oxford dictionary - "propaganda" - noun, [uncountable] (usually disapproving) means: ideas or statements that may be false or present only one side of an argument that are used in order to gain support for a political leader, party, etc. The MSM will twist and spin it if Chinese people esp. authority use the word in not the precise way in English!

Is there any doubt that we need to keep in mind that the cause of all the problems of other governments are from the threats of Westerners, who will kill our presidents if our presidents don't make mistakes (and even modi could be forgiven), and citizens of other countries must be told exactly how to help China (because we probably need to show that we support something, or have a specific opinion about any mistakes made by the leader, or have a specific opinion about SOMETHING which is different from the opinion of Chinese citizens, and would help them become proud of China)?

President Xi is indeed a great leader. Just by comparing China and US society and you will see. China is so progressive and modern and Chinese people are satisfied and happy. While US society are full of crimes, drug addicts, rapist, lunatics, armed gangsters, discriminations of ethnic minorities and delapidated infrastructure. Americans are dissatisfied and unhappy.

This is the Great Leader who won his own people's hearts. Rather than sit in Aircon office or playing golf, he sweated it out with visits to the most remote countrysides to understand his people sufferings. How many Leaders do that? And he didn't take helicopter. He rather trek. His actions said it all. Better than some other countries Leaders, who give empty promises.

I'm an overseas Chinese. Visited China many times in recent years & proud of the Chinese Govt. Visited Yunnan's many minority groups, they are given land and they still practise their own culture & speak their own local dialects besides Chinese. We were entertained by their unique culture shows & food. All visitors are offered a type of rice wine which we sipped through a thin hollow bamboo stem.

This is what the actual democracy is about, and how it works. At the end of the day , the reality is that US Politicians cared more for the financial sponsors who funded their political campaign . The sponsors are the real bosses of these politicians. The government policies are such that they skew towards helping the financial sponsors in return for their favour. As the saying goes " you help me , I help you ". There is no free lunch The needed of the ordinary people in the street are low in their priority list.

Eventually China before 2049 would gain high income and developed country status, the first socialist republic to gain this honor. That’s how the PRC highly functions properly despite the Euro-American power coalition calls to disband the PRC by breaking up into Tibet, HK, Xinjiang, etc. They tried that in 1989 but was close to collapse like the USSR, Green Libya, Afghanistan, Assad's Syria, and Yugoslavia.

China eradicated poverty in 2020, 10 years ahead of the target date suggested by the United Nations in 2016 for sustainable development. Meanwhile democracy icon USA has 39 million of its 331 million people living in poverty while world's largest democracy India has at least 260 million of its 1.3 billion people living in poverty. Even more impressive, China is on track to overtake USA to become the top economy in the world by 2028, five years ahead of its previous forecast, according to the reputable think tank, Centre for Economics and Business Research, in its recent annual report. This was followed by Nomura Holdings which forecast an even earlier date of 2026 when China will achieve that honor.

He was said to be all things to many critics but he strived on to build and to lay down the foundation for a smallish back water island into a vibrant nation! Of course, in the case of China, such progress would frighten many people outside China since in their mind China had been an improvised society as far as modern memory could remember. Most of the critics are basically jealous of what a huge nation could move that progressively within one generation. It is both admirable and at the same time frightening to most outsiders!!!

Fujian is the province my parents are from. The work of mainland Chinese has helped the country greatly, but we must also not forget the millions of oversea Chinese, who send money back to their families and relatives over the last few decades.

It is the opposite in many cases. Parents are sending money from China to their children oversea.

@@WEBFundamental the wealthy Chinese are the few. the majority of Overseas Chinese work in restaurants, Hair Salons, making barely minimum wage. This has been going on for decades. Overseas Chinese generally start at a low level, and work their way up, sometimes thru education, sometimes thru entrepreneurship.

I'm from Fijian too. My sister lives in Europe. We used to send money to my parents and my brother who stays behind looking after my parents but now my parents and my brother are sending money every year to my sister (I declined to accept their money because I'm doing well). My parents and my brother are by no means rich by the Chinese standard, they're middle class, but they can afford to send money to help with a family who lives in Europe! That's the new reality, and people need to get to know it and get used to it.

Buenos dias.cuando un lider nace de lo más profundo.al lider carismático con potencial adquirido.esos lideres tienen visión de horizonte y hacen ver al pueblo.lo importante que el ser como persona.hay fotografias del ciudadano xi con su pueblo.siempre en acciones de mucha contención.en esos años los 80.china estaba asomandoce con mucha pobreza.pero como era de ser.un pueblo cuando tiene esa clase de lideres los obstáculos se los resuelve junto al pueblo.y vaya que lo han logrado y puesto las enseñanzas de sus mayores al servicio de su amada china.
