潮汕人每到过年过节都会做粿,红粿是潮汕粿类中最常见的一款。红粿其实是以前民间祭拜/拜神(拜老爷)的一种贡品,直到现在人们也会做红粿来拜老爷。随着文化的传承和时间的沉淀,慢慢的变成了潮汕地区的标志性食物。
Chaoshan people make kueh every Chinese New Year and festival, and Red Peach Kueh is the most common type of Chaoshan Kueh. Red Peach Kueh is actually a kind of tribute for folk worship/worship of God (worship of the Lord) in the past, and until now people will also make Red Peach Kueh to worship the God. With the inheritance of culture and the precipitation of time, it has gradually become the iconic food of Chaoshan area.

For those who are not familiar with Chinese weight and measure: when he says zêg8 geng1 一斤 [1 catty] he means 500 grams. When he says si3 nion2 四兩 [4 taels] it means 200 grams. The weight and measure in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan are different to that in China. As Iab Hui lives in Swatow, he will be using Chinese weight and measure. I hope this will help you when you make this peach cake.

@@stephenbachmann1171 1 catty in China is 500 grams whereas in SE Asia and HK, the people in these places still use the old weight and measure which is over 600 grams 604.8 grams. In Taiwan, 1 catty = 600 grams and I catty = 一斤

謝謝叶师父的指教。我在外國一段時間了疫情前刚去了潮洲玩,買了兩个粿印在身邊。回來后每想起小時候做粿好食就动手自己做粿。😂

非常感谢叶师傅的分享和指教…这个糯米红桃粿是我小时候最爱的粿品之一😋小时候也很喜欢在阿嬷作粿的时候帮忙,也是觉得很好玩,阿嬷从来都是很乐意小孩子围着一起帮忙,无论是否会作,重在参与,好怀念啊…还有,叶师傅,能否出个无米粿视频呀?在国外一直想吃,苦于不知如何调好粿皮?拜托拜托…多谢多谢…

Hello 老師你好👋,我是潮洲人,我双親是汕頭人,我母親還在時過年也有做紅挑粿,做兩種,一種是糯米另外一種是竹筍很好吃的,但是現在想吃都沒有人做给我吃了,所以現在有了家庭想自己學做來給家人吃, 但我有點不明白生粉是否木薯粉 的和一斤是多少克的,和4兩是 多少克的,和要加多少杯或ml 的請老師回覆给我知,那我可以試做給我老公和孩子吃,等老師回覆,㊗️你和家人身體健康,快樂

你好!谢谢关注!生粉一般指玉米淀粉或是马铃薯粉,和木薯粉不同。一斤是500克,4两是200克。祝你成功!👍

Temple: Fa Yi Tian En, Chong En Dao Center 主題:人人素食做防疫 Message: Everyone must eat plant-based diets to prevent plagues. 延命觀音慈悲指示訓 Instructional Scripture by the Mercy of Yan Ming Guan Yin* *16th of the 33 manifestations/embodiments of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. Yan Ming means Life-lengthening. 天下瘟疫劫頻仍 一時半刻尚不停 The calamity of plagues in the world still takes place one after another, and will not cease any time soon. 活受生離骨肉散 死前掙扎遍哀鴻 Suffering separation from families, wailing in struggle against imminent death. 猶如困獸少理智 限制隔離如牢籠 Like confined animals who lost reason, and restricted by quarantine measures similar to those imprisoned in cages. 萬惡反撲嘗苦果 陳陳相因定律明 Tasting the bitter fruits of mankind’s own evil deeds. I will leave you with this scripture. 自古病從口中入 舉凡禍由口生殃 From time immemorial, illnesses have entered through the mouth-all troubles are caused by the mouth, bringer of misfortune. 大啖美味以養我 豈料動物因而亡 Gorging on such delicious food to nurture oneself, one would not suspect the cost of the meal to be animal lives. 人為滿足三寸慾 無數家庭添悲傷 In satisfying the desires of the three-inch tongue, sadness was imposed upon countless families. 臨死猶懼甚驚恐 骨肉分離痛斷腸 (The animals) were especially fearful and horrified before being put to death; the knife’s excruciating separation of bone and flesh ruptured their intestines. 當知六畜人所飼 視如眷屬不忍傷 Remember that these animals are fed by humans. Humans should treat them as kin; to hurt them would be unbearable. 萬物性命皆平等 殺生害命喪天良 All creations possess an equal life force. Taking lives strips one of their Heavenly Conscience. 珍禽異獸落罟擭 五葷三厭肚裡裝 Rare and exotic animals were lured into captivity, appeasing human stomachs with the five pungent plants* and the three types of animals*. Five pungent plant categories (mostly to transform the unbearable tastes of dead animal carcass): Onions, garlics, chives, leeks, tobaccos. *Three types of animals, namely: those that fly in the air, those that swim in the water and those that walk on the ground. 人雖飽腹卻結怨 不知因果債要償 Humans satisfied their appetites but incurred hatred, unaware of the resultant karmic debts which must be repaid. 惡氣沖天瘟劫降 業力討報難躲藏 Evil energy rushed to Heaven and descended calamities. One cannot hide from the vengeful karmic forces. 改變時運第一步 茹素防疫保安康 Initiating a change in circumstances, one must eat plant-based diets to protect against plagues, and ensure health. 學習一餐不食肉 漸進三餐貫日常 Begin with one meatless meal a day, and gradually progress to three meatless meals a day. 減少葷食寡慾望 誠懺前愆首要方 Decrease meat-eating, reduce desires, and repent past wrongdoings sincerely. This is the most important method. 叩首悔改求原諒 感同身受殺念降 Bow, repent, rectify oneself, and ask for forgiveness. Feel and relate to the pain of animals personally, one will suppress the thought to kill them. 身心淨化集善願 不造惡業福壽長 Purifying body and mind, collecting good wishes. Grow blessings and lifespan without creating evil karma. 盼望賢士力推廣 放下口慾心安康 I look forward to your effort in propagating the message. Let go of desires of the mouth. One’s mind will be in good health. 此時人類遭劫煞 茹素戒殺速宣揚 At this time, calamity has struck mankind. Eat plant-based foods, refrain from killing animals, and hurry to spread and promote the message. 人人素食做防疫 自然瘟疫竟消亡 If everyone eats plant-based diets to protect against plagues, the pandemic will naturally die out. 仁愛為本生靈護 大地回春復安詳 Establish oneself with humanity, universal love, and protect all living beings; the great land will rejuvenate, restoring peace and harmony. 言此一段止玉管 辭叩母駕返瑤鄉 I will stop writing now.
