I'm more concerned about him at this rate; it makes it hard for him to find genuine people who loves him for who he truly is inside and out and not based on his looks. You're right, I think some Koreans think that because they are fans they pratically own their idol/celebrity, It may be also because they get jealous that their idol will show love to someone that they know they can never get.

THIS comment here is on point but no one replied! Many people are STILL unaware of the importance of self-development and think being single is bad and really want a relationship. I'm 30 and spent my 20s healing from depression, soul-searching and working on personal development. This year I'm building my coaching business and social media presence and ready to meet my soulmate, probably online b/c I'm sure he's in one of the countries I wanna move to but haven't been able yet.

For me personally, I don't think the time is right yet. Of course, there are people who prefer a romantic relationship as a form of support etc even in their teenage years. I do not mind long comments! Mine is even longer! I love your comment except for the 3rd paragraph. You can think what you want, but our beliefs shape our reality. In my parents' generation, it was still common to date once and get married. Most of my relatives' marriages last and did not end in divorce. Some are not super wonderful but they last. Also, romance is not important in their generation. Anyway, it seems to be a gene in my family and relatives to date just once or twice, even for my generation, who are oriented toward work and achievement. My former college roommate dated her bf at 20 and they ended up getting married and doing well. I strongly believe in the one and minimal relationships so I do not think I need relationship experience to find the one. I already know what I want in a relationship and tbh most people's core needs are the same, which is understanding and support. That's why therapists can help a wide range of couples, by working on the core foundational issues and common patterns. I do not specialize in relationships but I 'm more of an expert on personal development. A lot of relationship issues have to do with relationships with the self. If the person is broken, he/she might keep sticking to abusive and unfulfilling relationships and he/she thinks that's what he/she deserves and may not find someone better. Also, if someone doesn't work on the self, he/she may keep having relationships that fail b/c of patterns that repeat b/c of inner issues. You already know the importance of personal development and it's not really about experience. Learning also makes up for lack of experience. That's why we go to school, basically learning from other's experiences. Besides, you can't always have experience in everything. Think about it. Do you get to have experience in parenting before becoming one? Parenting is one of the most important life skills, but not something you can 'have internship' in before getting started. We can't wait until we're perfect at something before doing it. That's why I should get on with coaching. Besides, we're always growing. You're right about focusing on yourself and work in 20s. Some people can balance that with a relationship but some don't. Many people keep saying possessive fans are the main reason idols can't date and they should be able to date, but I think that not dating is not necessarily a bad thing. Like you said, it's important to focus on the self and career. The average age of marriage varies across cultures and regions and can be related to educational level. The average age of marriage in Korea is 30. Even for the general population, actually only about half are actually dating. Yeah my main major was Sociology at college so I like to refer to sociological data which could at times challenge common cultural myths. Eunwoo was shocked at 1/4 of single people wanna stay single. I wasn't at all. Something I realized over the years is that we live in a world men dominate women, extroverts dominate introverts and people in relationships dominate single people and the populations being dominated can be pretty huge. When I found out there're actually many introverts and singles out there, I no longer felt so out of place. Still, there's nothing wrong with being different. In the US, the age range of marriage seems to be wide due to more diversity. I had depression for most of 20s and it was clear why I shouldn't be in a relationship. Some people said I should date but I know I shouldn't use dating to feel better. Another main reason I'm still single at 30 is that I don't really wanna stay in my home country and wanna move Actually, I had close to a relationship. I met someone who totally clicked and knew about my depression. The main reason we didn't end up together is the age gap of 20. Also, he ghosted me 2 years after I went back to my country. He said 'Happy Bday' to me after one year and disappeared again, gave me a greeting during COVID and I played an April's fool prank on him saying I got it but didn't feel like following up afterwards. I might when I feel like it, ask him why he ghosted me, and forgive him. Well now I'm 30, know who I am and what I want out of life, mentally stable and clear. I haven't tested my EQ but I raised my emotional energy vibration from 20 to 200 in the one year I worked on healing. I don't wanna wait until I move to my dream country to date. I might have to do it online. I'm almost ready for it on an emotional, mental, energetic and vibrational level and my soul should attract my soulmate soon. Yeah this is some Law of Attraction stuff. Also, Mindvalleys' Lifebook takes place twice a year. I would probably join it the next time it comes and plan the 12 areas of my life. I think it would be helpful for myself and for me to see whether my life direction aligns with my potential life partner's. Also, a while ago I actually came across a video '5 signs of a soulmate' about how God has a soulmate for us. It might have been a divine sign for me. I 'm not exactly sure if there's only ONE right partner for us chosen by God but there's def an ideal one.
