The Abbott Brothers from Pantera were really big supporters of Nickelback over the years and Chad Kroeger spoke about their friendship in a recent conversation. Nickelback recently released a deluxe edition of their new album Get Rollin. Pantera is currently out on their celebration tour.

I'll be one to admit Nickelback got me through a lot of tough times in high school back in 2001-2002 and I will always be greatful for how their music made me feel. I love them but I'm into what i vibe with not the mainstream, I just don't care what people think. If the music helps me vibe, be happy or get through tough times in the moment I'm a fan. Thank you to Nickelback for getting me through some of my toughest years.

I’ve joked about the over saturated of Nickelback and the fact that they started having too many songs just about sex; but when All the Right Reasons came out back in 05’ I kept playing it. I loved it. There’s a lot of good songs, even some great, but to me it’s kinda like you have to sift through the rest of the album sometimes to find it. I do still love Lullaby though and when I was in a very dark place in my head songs like that helped a lot

I feel that a lot of hate toward Nickelback were just trendsters jumping on the memewagon, having the slightest bit of intellect concerning their discography. I’ll admit, I’ve had a few one(+)night stands while their cd’s spun in my truck’s head unit….and we fans know Pantera’s stance on trends. I’m a distant cousin to Dime n Vin, and to this day have never heard the first ill word spoken about them from any fans. I wish we had them back. Be humble and kind, folks. It goes a long way.

That’s exactly the experience I got my now ex wife wanted to go see Nickelback and I wasn’t too excited about it, but it might have been the best live band I’ve ever seen they were incredible live and at least twice as heavy as their albums. I’ve always said even if you don’t like them if you get a chance to see them live you better check them out. It would’ve been in 2006 and they had a Dime tribute video before playing side of a bullet .

No talk about nickelbacks tribute song “side of a bullet” to Dimebag off their 2005 album all the right reasons? Thought that was really cool nickelback did that for him. Have always loved nickelback, have really gotten into them heavy though the past couple years so I went and saw this earlier this month. What a show! And I was always a Brantley Gilbert fan kinda but after seeing those guys live I’m obsessed with them too! NB was really smart bringing the country vibe to their shows with acts like BG and josh Ross because I’m gonna say 80% of people that listen to todays country, listens to Nickelback too.

I am & always have been a HUGE Pantera fan. I seen Sepultura open for Pantera when I was 17 (I'm 46 now) in Dayton, Ohio & became obsessed. When people say Metal I think Pantera, Sepultura, Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica. I never got the hate people had for Nickleback, while not as hard-core as Pantera but still a good hard rock band that have alot of great songs. R.I.P. Dime bag, Vinnie, Jeff Hanneman, Cliff Burton, Randy Rhodes, Ronnie Van Zant, Nick Menza, Bon Scott, Malcolm Young, Eddie Van Halen, Ronnie James Dio, Layne Staley, Scott Weiland etc. & to all the greats that made Heavy Metal/Hard Rock -by far THE GREATEST FORM OF MUSIC EVER! Not country, rap, hip-hop, blues, pop, bluegrass, opera, symphony, techno etc. even comes close to Metal. Oh & unlike all those other b.s. genres, Metal bands write there own songs.

I've been a huge Nickelback fan since the beginning. Saw them in 2000 at a 2000 seat venue opening for Ever Clear just as they were starting to get air play. Then again a few years back when they played a sold out arena in front of 19 thousand people in Edmonton. I've never understood the hate. Not only are they all incredibly talented musicians and singers, but they know how to write really really good songs that appeal to people. Sure How you Remind me and Rock Star were and still are way over played, but so are hundreds of other bands and artists. You can't hate a band for success and for being popular. 4 young guys from a small town in Alberta who worked literally night and day and traveled in an old van for the first couple years of their career living on just about nothing. The song High Time is pretty much a story about the band in the early days. Not only is Nickelback one of the most successful bands of the last 25 years, but they got there in the old fashioned way by working very hard and building the band and brand to the point where it got to be a career and gave them a life. When ever friends hate on Nickelback, I simply say "wouldn't you like to have their royalty checks?" Nickelback is one of those bands that I like every single song they've ever recorded. There aren't many bands or artists like that for me. They are still completely crushing it with tours and record sales and popularity after 25 years regardless of the hate.

I love Nickelback. I been a Nickelback fan since I was 5. I'm currently 23 and still listening to them. I never get sick of their songs. I listen to them a lot every week. I have 8 of their CDs, and a Nickelback shirt. I had cupcakes shaped as the number 14 with their photo on top. The picture was from the back of the CD case Fight for all the Right Reasons on my 14th birthday. All the girls in school were crushing on Justin Bieber. While I was crushing on Chad. Untill I found out his age. I made my parents, and my husband sick and tired of Nickelback. My husband will hear the first note, and make an ugly face lol. Its hard to explain why I love their music so much. It just brings back memories good and bad. Their songs have helped me a lot through my depression. I've had Epilepsy my entire life, and just went through my second brain surgery on my left temperural lobe May 7th. Thankfully no more seizures. Nickelback is what helped me through tough times. Their last 2 tours haven’t been as good as the previous few. They used to put on a hell of a show, tons of pyro, t shirt cannons, throw beer to the crowd and jam some classic metal tracks. They are very legit metal heads. If you think they are only known for ballads like photograph let me give the unfamiliar listener some severely underrated heavier tracks that are absolute bangers: Flat on the floor Because of you Throw yourself away Fight for all the wrong reasons Side of a bullet This means war The betrayal act 1 and act 3 Feed the machine They don’t really have bad songs

You nailed it. It's all about oversaturation. With the decline of MTV and radio, people now just listen to what they want. Creed suffered just like Nickleback. It's not poor songwriting or lack of talent. Just having the same songs rammed down your throat over and over. Glad to see these bands getting the credit they always deserved.

Im not a big fan of them, i have heard maybe a couple of songs but couldnt name any of them, i have also made Nickleback jokes, but those are just jokes, they have had a long and very successful career wether you like them or not, they have made a name for themselves. Just checked em out on Apple Music. 100%!sure I’ve never heard any of these songs.. I was a little iffy, for some reason I was thinking they might be the band that does that “if I go crazy will you call me Superman” song But I don’t see it…

I could never understand why everyone hated Nickelback. I thought the were awesome fro day one. I've always been blown away by how Chad Kroger could fil every beat with a syllable of a lyric and still find room to breath

I never cared what anybody said I always thought Creed and Nickelback were good bands especially after Dime died and they wrote "side of a bullet". They don't deserve to be in the same category as LIT, Hinder, Buckcherry, Hoobastank, Trapt, Fuel. Those are 1 hit wonders.

One of the best shows I have ever been to was Nickelback. I really didn't want to see them and wasn't a fan. That set was heavy as hell compared to the radio hits. Flame's, beers and riffs. I instantly became a fan.

It's hit after hit with that band on a level nobody has seen . And they're decent guys too. Proud to say I hopped of the Hatred-bandwagon with Nickelback and so many other bands and I encourage everyone to do the same. Don't listen to the try hards. You cant control what you enjoy. If today was your last day!

This is probably gonna sound bizarre, but I couldn’t tell you any Nickelback songs, don’t know if I’ve ever heard any Haven’t listened to any radio other than talk radio for decades though. I’m old. I was actually already out of HS before the Black album or Nevermind released 😂 I have heard the name of course.
