Important clarification: the quote is not "money is the root of all evil", the saying is "the LOVE of money is the root of all evil"

Great interview. I nerd out over debt-free talk because who would rather be in debt to a bank than free to themselves? It's amazing how comfortable debt is now socially, but it makes me itchy (hopefully I'm not the only one who get irritated by it!) lol

I am the person who line items everything - yes, who parses out the Costco receipt into categorical spending... but I'd like to devote more energy into starting a business, and move to a streamlined give/save/spend planning approach. This was a timely episode - thanks to both of you!

Buddha is another example. He became enlightened only after he gave up all of his wealth and possessions. I'm wondering, if I do her tree exercise, how would values look different than principles?
@CoachChadCarsonАй бұрын
Good question. I see values as your priorities. And principles as guides for thinking and action. I'm sure there could be crossover there, and might help to include both.

PAULA PANT IS DAVE RAMSEY-ISH !!!! LOL !!!! WITH THOSE THERE 7 PAID OFF RENTALS !!!!!
@CoachChadCarsonАй бұрын
Paula and I are both reverse-Ramseyish - start off with debt, end up without it. 😂
@dropoutandretireearly1781Ай бұрын
@@CoachChadCarson I suppose. But everyone that seeks out Dave Ramsey is because they have debt. Yes Dave recommends paying all cash for rentals which I do agree with now, but I started out just like you and Paula with leverage and then killed it later. You guys are far more Dave-ish than all the other Gurus that make tiptok vidios that will never pay anything off period foolishly. You want to eventually reduce your exposure to risk by eliminated 100% of all real estate debt, and save up cash to buy your future rentals and basically become your own bank and get the banksters finally out of your pockets once and for good. lol.
